I was just looking at the next few cards and noticed that August 2010 is going to be even more bad *** than August 2009.

Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen

Frankie Edgar vs. B.J. Penn
Randy Couture vs. James Toney
Nate Marquardt vs. Rousimar Palhares
Marcus Davis vs. Nate Diaz
Kenny Florian vs. Gray Maynard
I'm probably most pumped for the Edgar vs Penn rematch and probably Palhares vs Marquardt.

Tough choices. Went with Dos Santos VS Nelson. I think in that fight we get to see more that Dos Santos' boxing skills.
Also went with Silva VS Sonnen. I have no beef with Silva, unlike most. And I would laugh my *** off if he show boated in this fight, yet still destoryed Sonnen. And actually that is what I am hoping to see, so all the little cry babies can b*tch some more.

I voted for Fitch/Alves II, because it's been canceled twice and it's made me want to see it more and more.
And Frankie/BJ II, because I know that was not the real BJ Penn fighting that night and I want to see if he responds positively to the loss, or if that was the end of BJ Penn as we knew him.

Strangely, I went with Florian v Maynard and Davis vs Diaz.
#1 contender
Davis and Diaz always come to put on a helluva fight.

As if you got T.Silva and Boetsch on there..
Id rather go with the FN card and Gomi/J Daddy, or Okami/Munoz over that garbage.
I picked Silva/Sonnen and Nate/Palhares...
But Fitch/Alves 2 is up there as well. and KFLO/Manyard.

Damn, good call, I didn't even realize that was happening on August 1st. That makes August even better! Although I would probably put Jones vs Matyushenko on there. At this point I'm looking forward to any fight with Jon Jones.

I'm stoked for Thiago Alves vs Jon Fitch, I love watching Alves fight, he's super f---ing exciting. But I'm probably one of the only ones, I'm excited for James Toney vs Randy Couture, I'm excited to see how well a pure boxer does in MMA even if it is only a washed up James Toney.

I went with Silva v. Sonnen because Sonnen will hopefully try to push the pace and we'll see another highlight reel knockout for Anderson. But, I think the Paul Harris/Marquardt tussle will be a good one to see how Nate responds to his lackluster performance against Chael (and losing his only chance at getting another shot at silva, but after the Chael fight he'll probably be damn glad he got laid on for 3 rounds instead of ktfo). Also interested to see how Paul Harris responds after his suspension for nearly ripping Drwal's shin off. should be a great summer for fights!

Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen: Mostly, I hope Chael tries to deliver on his promise of "walking through" Anderson's striking game. Could be interesting to see how Anderson attempts to embarass Sonnen.
JDS vs Roy Nelson - This will really see how these two stack up in the division. JDS hasn't been touched in the standup, and Roy has some heavy hands. Add in, Roy's ground game is also pretty damn solid, so we could FINALLY see how JDS is on the ground (if the fight makes it that far).

August is gonna f---ing rule. UFC 118 is going to be my first live MMA event so naturally I am beyond excited for Penn/Edgar II. s--- is going down.
I also voted for JDS vs. Big Country. I think this fight is very important for the heavyweight division and I am interested to see both of these fighters fight in a highly contested bout (hopefully). I'm surprised so many others voted for that fight too.
