UFC 131 is expected to take place June 11 at Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) in Vancouver.
UFC 131, is in the final planning stages for Vancouver. UFC officials are working this week to finalize the show and venue. Vancouver hosted its first event, UFC 115, in June 2010 with a Rich Franklin vs. Chuck Liddell headliner. The event proved a hit and drew nearly 18,000 fans for a $4.2 million gate.
This is also a rumoured possible date for the current (tba) TUF coaches battle.

Shane Carwin is looking to make his return to the UFC in June.
The former heavyweight contender recently penned a blog post on his Web site, Shane-Carwin.com, stating that he was originally offered a fight against Roy Nelson in May, but the UFC has now decided to put him on the organization's likely return to Vancouver on June 11.
"I have not heard anymore about my June 11th return," Carwin wrote. "I am pumped to be aboe [sic] to fight in Canada. The international fans are so pumped for the shows and if you have never been to B.C. I am certain BC stands for Beautiful Country."
Carwin hasn't competed since losing a UFC heavyweight title fight to Brock Lesnar last July, but that doesn't mean his name hasn't been in the news.
In August, he was named as one of 22 professional athletes who obtained steroids from an online pharmacy based in Mobile, Alabama. The 36-year-old has repeatedly turned down interview requests from MMA Fighting to discuss these allegations.
In November, he underwent surgery to address neck, back and nerve problems.
Apparently, the surgery was a success, and now the heavyweight is looking to resume his climb back up the division ladder later this year. The only question at this point is, with most of the top heavyweights already booked, who will Carwin face? Could he get another shot at Brock Lesnar after all?
UFC 131 is expected to take place at the Rogers Arena (formerly known as GM Place) in Vancouver. UFC 115, the organization's first event in Vancouver, took place in June 2010.

Mark Hominick is one win away from fighting for the UFC featherweight title.
Dana White confirmed on Tuesday's UFC conference call that if "The Machine" beats George Roop at Fight for the Troops 2 on Jan. 22, he will fight Jose Aldo for the 145-pound title at UFC 129 on April 30 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
The fight would be of extra importance for the 28-year-old Hominick, who hails from nearby Thamesford, Ontario, Canada.
When asked what would happen if Hominick should lose to Roop, White said the organization will have to go "back to the drawing board."
Hominick was originally offered a fight against Aldo at UFC 125, but the timing didn't work out for him as he was recovering from a hand injury.
Hominick was a guest on Monday's episode of The MMA Hour, and while he refused to look past Roop, he did talk about his desire to fight on the Toronto card.
"I'm going into my 10th year fighting as a professional, and to have to be on the first card in my home province would be a dream come true."
Hominick is 2-0 in the UFC, defeating Yves Edwards and Jorge Gurgel in 2006 as a lightweight. He's 3-0 since returning to Zuffa as a featherweight, and if he wins one more he will fight in the first-ever UFC featherweight title fight.
Aldo was scheduled to defend the belt at UFC 125 against Josh Grispi, but was forced to pull out due to suffering from a compacted vertebrae in his spine. The 18-1 fighter has held the 145-pound title since November 2009.

Re: UFC CANADA - UFC news updates from the Great White North
Rory "the WATERBOY" MacDonald gets new opponent at UFC 129
James Wilks is out of a potential meeting with Rory MacDonald (10-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) at UFC 129.
Stepping in for the native Brit is the always-game Nate Diaz (13-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC), who's anxious to redeem himself after a setback earlier this month against Dong Hyun Kim.
Sources close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that bout agreements have been signed and official word is on the way.
UFC 129 takes place April 30 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto and features a welterweight title bout between reigning champ Georges St-Pierre and challenger Jake Shields.
It is unknown whether MacDonald vs. Diaz will make the event's televised main card.
Diaz saw a successful run at welterweight come to a halt when he was out-grappled and outworked by Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 125. Prior to the loss, he handily dispatched Marcus Davis and Rory Markham.
The mean-mugging fighter ran into a similar wall during his time in the lightweight class. After winning "The Ultimate Fighter 5," he racked up five straight wins before a 1-3 stretch against the division's top talent. A loss this past January to Gray Maynard was the last straw, and he announced his move upward shortly thereafter.
MacDonald, a fast-rising Canadian prospect
who submitted veteran Mike "Joker" Guymon in his early-2010 UFC debut, recently suffered his first career loss with a third-round TKO defeat to contender Carlos Condit at UFC 115. MacDonald then was slated to fight Matt Brown at UFC 123 but was forced off the card with a knee injury.

UFC shows in Toronto, Vancouver grow in stature
By Neil Davidson, The Canadian Press
January 13, 2011
UFC shows in Vancouver and Toronto this year grew in stature Tuesday, with news of a possible title eliminator in one and the potential for a second Canadian champion being crowned in the other.
president Dana White announced that former heavyweight title-holder Brock Lesnar and Brazilian banger Junior Dos Santos will meet in June — likely in Vancouver — after serving as rival coaches on Season 13 of "The Ultimate Fighter" reality TV show.
The winner will take on champion Cain Velasquez when he recovers from a shoulder injury.
White also said Mark (The Machine) Hominick of Thamesford, Ont., will challenge featherweight title-holder Jose Aldo at UFC 129 in Toronto on April 30, provided Hominick defeats George Roop on Jan. 22 at the "UFC's Fight for the Troops 2" card.
Aldo had been slated to meet Josh (The Fluke) Grispi at UFC 125 on Jan. 1 but the Brazilian star was forced to pull out because of a back injury. Grispi was then beaten by Dustin Poirier, opening the door for Hominick (19-8).
A Hominick-Aldo fight would add more Canadian championship content to the Rogers Centre show, which marks the UFC's first foray into Ontario. The main event features Montreal's Georges St-Pierre defending his welterweight title against Jake Shields.
Dos Santos (12-1) was slated to meet Velasquez in Toronto on the April show until the champion was sidelined. Velasquez injured his shoulder in dethroning Lesnar (5-2) at UFC 121 in October and is due to undergo surgery on a torn rotator cuff this week.
White said there will be no interim title on the line when Lesnar and Dos Santos meet.
While the UFC has yet to announce its 2011 date for Vancouver, it is looking at June 11 at the Rogers Arena. The UFC made its debut in B.C. last June with UFC 115.
Heavyweight Shane Carwin, meanwhile, says he too will be on the Vancouver card against an as yet unannounced opponent.
"I am pumped to be able to fight in Canada," he wrote on his website,www.shane-carwin.com. "The international fans are so pumped for the shows and if you have never been to B.C. I am certain BC stands for Beautiful Country."
Filming of the new season of "The Ultimate Fighter" is slated to start later this month in Las Vegas. White said there will be no changes in format to the show.
Tryouts in the welterweight and middleweight division were held Nov. 4 in Las Vegas. White, however, said the show will just feature welterweights.
Would-be cast members had to be at least 21 years of age and have at least three pro fights.
