UFC Dilemma if Hamill wins this weekend?

So it appears that Jones will get a fight other than Rashad and this will be determined this weekend. It looks like it just might be the winner of Rampage/Hamill BUT if Hamill wins...can the UFC honestly try and sell a fight between Jones/Hamill? In the books it shows Hamill winning but he got completely demolished in that fight and that was only 2 fights ago for Hamill. If Rampage wins this is easy but if Hamill wins I honestly don't want to see that rematch and from a business standpoint it makes no sense to cancel Evans vs. Davis and give it to Evans (since it won't be til Sept/Oct and Evans has been on the shelf way too long). It seems to me that with a Hamill win, the only logical choice is Machida, BUT he's coming off a 1-2 record in his last 3 and the win was against 47 year old Couture. I'd like to make a suggestion and say they cancel the Okami/Silva fight and give the fight to Anderson Silva! Sure he only has two "official" LHW wins but has beat Franklinx2, Henderson, Cote, and Belfort...all of whom has fought at Light Heavyweight at some point and has had some success in that division. Silva/Jones would be the fight of the year and they'd have lots of time to hype it up. Especially with where Jones' popularity is right now, they could finally bring Silva's popularity to the masses.

If Hamill wins, and depending how(not a controversial split decision) it's a great thing. I would say Jones would get Machida, but i agree that it doesn't make the most sense looking straight at record, but personally i thought he had the better fight than Rampage did. Even Rampage thought he lost.
You never know, if Hamill wins, maybe Dana White will force an automatic rematch with Jackson, because it wasn't supposed to happen like that.
I personally just think they should get Jones active rather than trying to find the picture perfect opponent.

If Hamill wins, then Rashad/Davis is next in line or after Machida
with the lack of depth in the division, i dont think a contender is going to need a Jim Miller like win streak.
Matchups that could spark a contender with an impressive finish
Shogun/Forrest- either winner can be sold. Forrest would be on a 3 fight win streak all over previous champs. then Shogun hype would be "Shogun of old is back"
Nog vs Franklin- obviously this needs to be a super impressive KO

Hamill will get the title shot if he beats QRJ, by default. There is absolutely nobody left to fight Jon Jones cuz Dana said there will not be enough time to put the winner of SRE Vs Davis against Jone. Macheda has 2 losses in A row so he's not going to get the shot, after beating the 40year old man who's lasts wins were James Toney and Mark Colman and "The Spoof" Vera.
I got QRJ winning by Ko in the 1st round though.

Hamill would only be viable for a title shot if he truly "beats" Rampage. If it's a crappy win, I doubt he will be in the running.

Yeah, I'm thinking if he wins it'll be by dec. After that he's a tuff sell, but I do think he's getting alot of expousure at this moment, that maybe people are underestimating.
Another thing I'm thinking he's getting underestimated on, is how Hungry he is, but then a quick ko will put the Ki-bosh on all of the above.

I dunno. I don't think Hamill can beat a motivated and in shape Rampage. Remember that Rampage still beat Machida last November. And I just don't think Hamill is on the level of these guys.
Listen I love Hamill. He's a great dude and he's got a great story. I met and spoke with him at the AFI Fest Hamill premiere and he couldn't have been nicer. But as a fighter I just don't think he's like that upper-level. I think he's a good mid-level fighter.

Hamill was truly outclassed against Rampage's striking/takedown defense. He just had no chance in this fight. He was too slow, kept his hands down (as usual), and his takedown attempts were brutal. Having said that he's still a very tough/dangerous opponent for a lot of LHWs. Will he ever be top 10, probably not, but as a gatekeeper/spoiler I think he will always have a place in the UFC.
I mean he does have a win against the LHW champion already.... :?
