Here's the link it,
http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2013/5/3...tadium-jon-jones-vs-anderson-silva-jds-cain-3
really comes down to Silva making it past Weidman, and Dana did say they want to do something Huge for the 20 Anniversary show and you can't get bigger than this. Also putting Cain vs JDS on this card also the PPV ratings would no doubt past UFC 100.

It's really fun to think about but there too many stars that need to align for this to happen even if Silva beats Weidman.

I don't understand the whole desire to do Cowboys stadium. They have a tough enough time selling out venues in Vegas regularly. The views from shitty seats in small venues is bad enough,so they are gonna make it better by putting people a mile from the cage but they can watch on the Jerrytron ? Cain vs JDS couldn't even sell out the Honda Center but if you add Anderson and Jon Jones they'll sell another 80,000 tickets ?
Sounds like too much wishful thinking on their part.

I feel like you need the Women's Bantamweight Championship on this card too. Do what the WWE does for Wrestlemania, and buy an extra hour of PPV airtime, and then you can fit 3 title fights on the card.

Let's hope Silva isn't underestimating Weidman as much as some fans are.

I wonder is Weidman really believing his own hype as much as some of his fans are.

I honestly believe Weidman has the skills to beat Anderson, and I'm actually pulling for him to win...
However, Silva VS Jones is still a fantasy match-up, so it can't hurt to fantasize about the match up.

TUF won't be finished until December and the 20th anniversary is in November. I say save Rousey/Tate II and have it on the year end card with hopefully Cruz/Barao.
If they some how got Silva/Jones & Velasquez/Dos Santos III on the same card, the MMA world would be in a state of shock for a week. Could you f---ing imagine the level of press. Also who would get the main event slot? Rule is that title fights get the main event slots always unless there is another title fight in which case the higher weight class takes the spot.

That sounds pretty sexy. I like that idea. Whenever the UFC puts two title fights on one card its usually one major and one minor. So having the WBW title and the BW title unification on one card really makes sense.

They should have it in Denver instead

What rule? They'll put whatever fight they think is bigger last, which would be jones vs silva, I think. If they thnk the heavyweight title is bigger than they'd put that one last.

Dana's rule. He's only said it about a thousand times.

I doubt it. He knows he's better than everyone but I doubt he's going to underestimate him. If you watched Like Water, he was studying film on Chael...which impressed me quite a bit.

Dana has said it plenty of times. Also go back and look at every single card that has 2 title fights on it and the higher weight class always takes the main event (UFC 100, 112 etc). The only exception when you have an interim title on the line then a regular title fight is always above that (UFC 92, 111).

Jones VS Silva would be the exception to the rule because it would be Champion VS Champion, which may get better publicity than the Trilogy of the 2 Best Heavyweights of Modern MMA.

I can see it going either way. It would definitely be a new one though, there's never been a situation like that if it happens.
