Either way, what about that situation would warrant a stand-up? He had just knocked him down and was throwing punches. A stand-up there would've been egregious.

If he was just jabbing his shoulder on the ground and not really doing anything while Schell was covering up and resting up, the ref usually stands them up for no real action or advancement of position.
But upon further review and camera angles, I agree with y'all.
.......plus I had picked Schell in @Holeydel 's betting pick'em game as a Hail Mary grasp. Oh well
