Ok....if, and it's a big if, Diego Beats BJ to become the lightweight champ, who would they pit up against him in first title defense? Would they take Florian/Guida winner? I wouldn't mind seeing a Sanchez/Florian II or even a Sanchez/Guida II. How about Maynard if he beats Diaz? Who do you think?

I think Maynard should get the next title shot IMO.

Agree. It doesn't matter who wins on Saturday, Gray gets the next title shot. I believe the winner of Clay and Florian would get the shot after that. I would love to see Sanchez vs Florian again. Their first fight was BS, Diego was sooo much bigger than Florian. I don't see Florian getting by Guida though.
Two things.
1. Florian is 50 X the fighter Guida is, and should completely skullf**k him.
2. There's nobody even close to BJ Penn at LW in the UFC. There's not one significant threat out there. Diego would be the closest.

Kenny shouldn't get another shot IMO. He's at the peak of his abilities and he got killed by BJ.
If UFC and WEC come together, Kenny should drop down.

Can Florian really drop down to featherweight? He's gangly enough as it is.
edgar n griffin r in da mix 2, but i think if frankie wins on sat and gray beats nate they should have a rematch for the # 1 contenter spot. It would help hype up the fight too. i say griffin gets kenny if he beats lay and that would give him the next next shot.

Guida puts on great fights but his technical skills are FAR below the level of Kenny's.
Franklin McNeil just said on the new episode of MMA Live to not be surprised if Frankie Edgar gets the next shot at the LW title. If Frankie wins and looks good doing so, and if Maynard loses or even if he wins but doesn't look so great in the win, Frankie could be next for a shot at the LW belt. Interesting!

Honestly that wouldn't surprise me. But he could really use an impressive win from this next fight.
A lot of people are high on Griffin too, but Griffin only won once coming off of the Sherk loss.
Why is everyone always all over Guida's nuts. Hes not close to a title shot. He doesnt beat anyone good and is boreing as hell.
