I'm glad you had Nog/Couture in there, I feel like that's one of the greatest often forgotten fights ever.

Pride top 5
Fedor vs Nog I
Fedor vs Cro Cop
Fedor vs Nog II
Nog vs Cro Cop
Shamrock vs Frye
UFC
JDS vs Stipe I
Bas vs Randleman
Brown vs Arlovski
Nog vs Couture
Overeem vs Lesnar (for selfish personal satisfaction reasons.)
I only put Pride along with UFC because the top 10 best HW fights ever happened in Pride, IMO.

Bas Vs. Randleman? i think you are misremembering it, long time since i seen that one, but wasn't that the fight where Randleman just held on to Bas for most of the fight.

Bas f---ed Randleman up from bottom with strikes, pretty effectively I might add. Maybe the only fight where defensive striking from the bottom ousted top control. Some didn't like it, I thought it was great, but I'm also biased.
Bas is my all time favorite. He also has the best MMA record of any retired UFC champ.

Randleman had an excellent rd 1 and messed Bas up pretty bad. Broke his nose, screwed up his eye but on the ground he was having trouble landing strikes. Bas just kept swinging and swinging and Bas out struck him on the ground 4-1. And those were good shots to the ear, back of the head, he kept elbowing the side of Randleman and opened up a divot on the side of his head.
Bas basically did to Kevin on the ground what Randy did to Slyvia on his feet. You'll never see a HW fight like that again with a guy off his back going hard for 20 minutes and throwing 200 strikes.

Jessica Rose-Clark was on Junkie Radio not long ago and she said she had been at that event but had to leave after Shogun/Te Huna to go to work!!!
Gotta admit it felt kind of odd to turn up to a stadium at 9am.

Oh yeah, it felt weird to leave the hotel so early to go watch the UFC when normally I just wake up and roll over and chuck it on my phone.

The reason why it won't happen again is because Randelman froze every time he took anyone down, which allowed Bas to throw all those strikes. And Bas had zero takedown defence so he always got the takedown. The fight was incredible boring, and honestly, i'm not even sure it belongs on a top 100 of the greatest HW fights even though it carries historical significance.
