Details on the main event for the first UFC on Fox event in November remain sketchy, but there’s one thing for sure…
It’s going to be a big fight.
With several cards already packed with main events between now and the end of November, it would appear that most of the major names available would be locked up and already signed to fights, but UFC president Dana White is promising a major delivery for the first UFC on Fox event.
While rumors have swirled about a potential title fight between UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and current Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson, White won’t commit to anything.
At least until after this weekend’s event in UFC 134 has concluded.
“We’re working on it. We’ll see how things go this weekend, and then we’ll figure out who we’re going to deliver,” White commented when speaking to ESPN 790 in Miami.
The magnitude of the fight is what can’t be questioned.
Whether Anderson Silva is involved or not, White is guaranteeing a major fight for the Fox debut, and doesn’t take the possibility of a title fight away either.
“I want to go out with a big fight. A championship level fight,” said White.
All of the UFC champions are currently tied up with other fights already scheduled, but things can change and anything could be possible for the UFC on Fox event scheduled for Nov. 12 in Anaheim.
For now, White is keeping mum about what’s in the planning until at least after the event in Brazil goes down this weekend.

After reading this my theory is that the main even is going to be one of the following:
1. If shogun wins this weekend I it will be #1 contenders match with him vs Lyoto Machida with the winner meeting the winner of Evans vs Jackson/Jones
2. If shogun losses and Schaub wins , Schaub vs Mir for #1 contenders
anyone elses thoughts?

Ufc 139 is stacked with good household names. Make faber vs bolwes the main event and cain vs junior for FOX Nov 12. Then lyoto vs davis for number one contention.

Schaub vs Mir is what Im thinking they are looking to do. I think they can avoid a 3rd Shogun/Machida fight for just a little longer. I still think Tito vs Franklin should be the other fight on this card regardless
Do a "championship status" fight along a with veteran's fight. Doesn't sound horrible if you ask me

Status. I.E. not nessicarly title up for grabs.
I find it hard to find it possible to have one 25 minute fight, and one possible 15 minute fight on the fight card when an hour block of tv has an average of about 16-20 minutes of comericals. It is cutting it close.

Anderson Silva said in an interview the other day that he would take it so let's hope so. It's not like Dana hasn't denied things that ended up being announced shortly after Dana denied them either.

As long as Schaub doesn't lose or get beat up too bad tonight, I'm thinking this is a likely scenario. Winner gets the next title shot.

I see neither of those scenarios happining, 10 weeks turn around would be to short notice for that big of a fight, the title implecations might just be guida/Bendo

Well they should definitely have Guida vs Henderson on the card. Perhaps as the main event if Franklin/Ortiz is the other fight on the card. I know Franklin and Ortiz are extremely more famous but Guida/Bendo has title implications.
On second thought, add Franklin/Ortiz to UFC 139..this is how the Card should look on FOX:
Dan Henderson vs Lyoto Machida
Clay Guida vs Ben Henderson
