Of course he doesnt really care. Movie, TUF or not, UFC regularly puts fighters on the bench for many months at a time. How can one possibly stay motivated for 5-6 months or more without a fight?
There is no continuity at all. UFC does this to every top fighter.
Take someone like Cain, while he may have started "late" and only been around for a few years, does anyone honestly think he likes the pace of his career? If he remains the belt holder, he has at most 8 fights before hes 33 years old and would probably be ready to consider retirement.

Oh be quiet. That's not the UFC's fault. Fighters get injured or want some time off. Cain Velasquez fought like three times last year: Stonjic, Kongo, and Rothwell. Lesnar fought 3 times in 08. He was going to fight more in 09 but he got violently ill and couldn't fight.
Not long ago BJ Penn said he only wanted to fight two times a year.

Not just that, but how many fights has GSP fought? 2 each year max? How bout AS? 2 fights a year for the last 2 years. Why not just erase the UFC and put mma in general. The top tier promotions, UFC, SF, and Bellator, give at most maybe 3 fights a year for their fighters.
