Middleweight prospect Uriah Hall is back in action at UFC 175...
Ultimate Fighter season 17 finalist Uriah Hall will look to follow up his UFC 168 win over Chris Leben last December with another victory in Las Vegas when he takes on Brazil's Thiago "Marreta" Santos in a verbally agreed to bout at UFC 175 on July 5.
The first round TKO of Leben marked the first UFC win of Hall's career, and while he's hungry for more, "Marreta" has some serious momentum of his own, having stopped Ronny Markes in just 53 seconds on March 23.

Interesting how the UFC are giving Hall a guy they signed from Bellator who can only seem to win by DQ - groin kick. I can't believe they aren't protecting Hall more like they do all their other fighters like Rousey. Stupid move imo. Now if a Bellator guy wins they run the risk of being known as having the worst fighters on the planet.

pretty sure Dana doesn't like Hall, not sure why you think they would protect him...

When did he say he didn't like Hall? He was critical of Uriah early, but never said he didn't like him.

true, but either way I don't see why he would be "protecting him"
Hall could be an MMA star I suppose in the future...but so could many other prospects
I could be wrong though but I just don't see it

It's not about Hall, it's about the brand. The most important thing the UFC needs to do is protect its top fighters against the clearly better talent around the world that are fighting in other orgs. Next thing you know they'll be bringing in Holm to beat their most protected asset in Rousey. That's the only reason why Ben Askren isn't in the UFC is because they don't want Johny Hendricks losing to someone from another org. The same thing with Hall if they let some Bellator guy run all over him (which he'll easily do) then people will start realizing how much better other fighters from other orgs are. It has a chaotic effect. They need to protect these guys better and keep giving them super easy fights.

I've never heard White say anything negative about Hall as a person or as an athlete... but he has said that he thinks Hall is "not a fighter" on several occasions, which is a pretty harsh critique.

Then he came out and destroyed Chris Leben, I think it was more just frustration with Uriah not being the fighter he was on TUF in his 1st couple of fights

Is this a troll or double troll? I can't make up my mind.
In case it's a regular troll, Hall isn't fighting that Bellator vet and TUF 3 failed tryout, he's fighting Marreta who TKO'd Ronny Markes last month.

I think this could be a good fight, nobody expected Santos to do what he did to Ronny Markes

The whole "best fighters in the world are in the UFC" is a gimmick, not a reality!
