They are fighting at 125 for first flyweight bout in UFC history. Even though there isn't anywhere near the talent to support a 125 division, looks like they will do it anyway. If they are, maybe they should move straw weight to 110 pounds and bantam to 140 pounds.

It's a flyweight bout. But on UFC's website, they stated that it's a special feature not the launch if the new division. They have to know that there's not enough names yet and the new division would all but make strawweight baron cause most would move up.
Even though it's two 115lb contenders fighting, just at 125lbs. It sort if takes away from the fight cause of the * that'll be on the fight. Flyweight actually fits Valerie. So it's no easy fight for JoJo

I'm glad they're not doing Womens Flyweight yet. The 2 womens divisions they already have are shallow, if they added a 3rd there'd be like 10 girls per division.
Makes it strange that this fight is at 125 though. Especially when the winner of this fight is right at the top 5 at 115 again

If JJ-Claudia turns into a memorable rivalry or one of them turns into a dominant champ that cleans out the division, it'll be easier to introduce the flyweight division with the strawweight champ trying to win the inaugural flyweight title or the contenders moving up quickly filling up the division with name value.
I would hope the UFC works with Invicta in building up their flyweight division now, so that when the UFC does start their flyweight division, they'll be able to get top fighters without depleting Invicta's division.

Letourneau will beat the breaks off JoJo, its unfortunate because I like her too. If Letourneau was a little younger she would have Championship potential. Either way she one of the grittiest, most well rounded women in the division! If there is an official 125 division introduced, Ive got her as champ !

Yea I don't get it. Why not make 120 CW then?
As for FLW - IMO it would take the best from Invicta to make a UFC division reasonable. Joanna would love to fight at 125 but we will see if it happens, let's say next year.
