I'm less disapointed in him last night than most people i've talked to and seen on this site. I think Krystof looked really good last night, but vera's couterstriking and TD defence was too much for him. I just read on the mainsite that he tried Southpaw for the first time in that fight, which im not sure what to take from that, but i guess it's an indicator that future fights will be more exciting. I still have hope for Vera becoming a solid contender.
I'd like to see a Cane vs Vera or the original Vera vs Hamill or hell even a Forrest vs Vera (Forrest needs a good win badly)
And after last night i think Krystof is in place to replace Jardine as the solid gatekeeper. good at everything, but not great at anything.
Vera is still one of my favs, was in no real trouble last night. It looks like hes still doing those kicks to the knee that he did with Jardine. I hate watching it, cuz it seems like if it lands right its gonna end up real nasty for his opponent
vera, the guy who ktfo frank mir, pulled a lackluster decision win against a very fresh tuffer who didnt win the season, and took the fight on short notice. he lost against jardine, n as much as i love jardine, it should have been a good fight for vera. he tkod a can. i am no longer a vera fan! sucks

He was one of my favorites, but not anymore. Jardine, Sylvia, Werdum, Andy, Krystof... all lackluster fights. 1 or 2 i can handle, 3 or 4 is stretching it, but 5+ is probably the way his career will head. But that is just my opinion.

Maybe he's a wolf spider...
I thought he fought reasonably well. He basically outclassed Sos everywhere. Picked him apart on the feet and dominated in the clinch. I can understand expecting more but I don't see how you could claim that was a bad fight for him.

I don't think Vera is nearly as good as he thinks he is. Can't say I have seen anything in his last 5 fights that should result in the type of talk we hear from him. I've always been indifferent to Vera so just by judging him based on performance I don't know if he is good enough to beat the top 5 in the UFC LHW division.
Jon Jones is a good test for both fighters before they step up to face a top 5 guy. The loser of Rashad/Rampage would be a good fit but that fight isn't for awhile and I can see Vera not wanting to wait that long. Maybe Thiago Silva or Luiz Cane but I want to see those two face each other.
it nice to see brandon, since he is so technical, but I dont see him being strong enough to be a contender, he has to lose to much weight to make weight, thus losing too much strength... He has the problem that he cant bulk muscles, because he wont be able to make 205, but hes too small for fighting at HW... too bad.
