According to Front Row Brian, Chael's flunky, Viacom offered Sonnen the Bellator job before going with Coker.
He supposedly didn't take it because of his loyalty to Zuffa.
Chael somewhat verified it with a tweet saying, "I'm NOT FOR SALE!"
Take it for what it's worth, certainly would have been interesting had he taken it. Brian has also alluded to Chael being groomed for a big job, maybe DW's, at some point with Zuffa. Considering DW's comments on Chael recently, it certainly looks like that's a legit possibility.
