Looks like:
1. Bernard just gave up
2. That kick was legal, and
3. The back of the announcer's head looked like a pack of hotdogs.

Cool throw @ 1:45!
And good kick to the body, more people should do this IMO.

The broadcast team I think were overreacting about that kick. Jones was trying to finish the guy and the ref stepped in, he didn't know he had him finished there yet.

Raising his hand after the suplex was very unecessary. I feel like this kid is a punk, but he has the right people around him telling him how to act and what to say. I wonder if his true colors will come out.

That suplex is SICK! He was a beast even in his first fight. Plus, Anderson Silva's isn't a bad style to try to emulate.
If Jones can keep his head on straight, he could be the future GOAT. If you could build the perfect fighter, I think he's as close as you can get. 3 years of training, already the UFC LHW champ, 23 years old, member of one of the best training camps in MMA, ridiculous reach, dynamic and effective striking, outstanding grappling (and limitless potential), ridiculous TDD, and great throws and takedowns. Quite honestly, the guy hasn't shown any major weaknesses other than lack of experience, which hasn't hindered him yet.

In this fight, he is a great athlete with very little actual training, having learned most of what he executed in this fight from watching old fights, particularly Anderson Silva's.
The fact that he's progressed so much in such a short amount of time really shows the potential he has. If he stays focused, can you imagine how good he'll be in another 3 years? He's so young that he has many, many years until he hits that point where the game passes him by like most of our favorite older fighters.

yeah his improvements are amazing!!!! probably one of the most improved fighters in short time in MMA history, him along with Brock
seriously watching this I wouldnt even guess that guy would become who he is today in such a short time, he takes down that guy but it looks like he struggles a bit to gain control as they are scrambling, 3 years later he completely destroys Shogun.......crazy huh

Brock is very similar to Jones in terms of athletic ability and ability to pick up on new things quickly. I think Jones excels where Brock stumbled in how serious and committed he is to becoming not only a well-rounded fighter, but an almost perfectly-rounded fighter. Brock still has a ton of potential, but I think he lacks the motivation to put it all together - meaning he is living very comfortably, and only fights once, maybe twice a year, which spreads his training out, leaving him with much less training hours than a prospect like Jones puts in.

^^^I think Brocks biggest hurdle is his age though.

I agree that age is a big factor in his situation as well. I think it allows a relatively short time frame for Brock to reach his full potential. I think that he's unwilling to put in the kind of time needed to reach that potential, as he takes whole seasons off from training, fights rarely, and has had serious health problems. I think he's focused and talented enough to be a force in the HW division for years to come. But unless he gets the kind of focus that true champions (Anderson, GSP, prime Fedor, Jones) have, he won't be able to re-capture and hold the title for a nice title reign.

+1
I don't buy his act when he's in interviews etc. No-one is that humble.

You gotta remember tho that this was his first fight.
Nerves/adrenalin/excitement would have been running wild!!
If I done that in my first fight I'd do back flips
