As it turns out, Ron Kruck got the word from the man himself and a training camp injury may be to blame.
Vitor Belfort just told me that he fought with a broken hand suffered in training. As tough as they come.

+1 he was throwing some pretty good high kicks too, and he didnt really go for any flurries until the 4th round before he got finished. This fight boosted my respect for Vitor a ton. I love how he threw the kick at the start of the fight to get Jones to stop crawling.

Big Johns response was bang on as well.

not sure if i give vitor any extra credit for taking the fight with the broken hand.......i mean it was a monster payday and he was a replacement himself anyways.

Respect the fact that he is the closest to ever beating Jones and he did it with a broken hand then.

Not sure if vitor cares about the credit youre willing to give him.

That's about as close as Vitor will ever get of getting any praise off Mabrown....
I get his point though however, but to fight one of the most deadly mma fighters in the world, nowhere near 100% fit and not injury free, takes some balls of steal..
Big payday?..Yes..Replacement fight and nothing to lose?..Yes...Major Major risk with a broken bone of his most dangerous weapons that you have in you're arsenal against the best?..100% Yes but he did it..

It means he had jones in trouble for a second there which nobody else has came close to doing. This is why his elbow is damaged. Cmon man this is common sense. If you can't give vitor respect for his effort then there's something wrong with you and you probably shouldn't watch mma. And btw it's a very good thing jones had such a huge strength advantage or else vitor would be using that arm as his butt scratcher today

God Damn. Haters, I swear. I respect both these Guys. I hate Jon Jones as everyone knows, but he seems to have full-filled One Personality, and thats Greatness. WHATEVER. He fought with a complete f---ed up arm and fought a warrior who also fought with a Broken Hand, The fight was VERY entertaining.
Props to the Ref for A quick Call, Props to Vitor for not pulling out, and Props to Jon Jones for toughing out the Win with the Arm.

Why shouldn't he expect the referee to follow the rules? He's considered a grounded opponent and almost got kicked in the face.

He should have withdrawn due to injury (for which Jones would get the lion's share of the blame). Also, the AC should be looking into whether he disclosed that injury on his pre-fight forms, and take disciplinary action if he did not.
