so the only top fighter in the wamma rankings thats not in the ufc is fedor. if a wamma belt recognizes the best fighters in the weight class how come it doesnt offer one to the other top fighters in their own weight class?? the wamma belt isnt an affliction belt so why doesnt any one else have one???

The UFC wont agree to work with them.
Working with them would essentially be acknowledging that their HW champ is not that best in the world since Fedor would have that belt.

The one thing it does give us is a legitimate writers poll as far as rankings go.
They have the write idea imo but the wrong concept at times.

Without the participation of the UFC it cant be taken seriously, although Fedor is the best heavyweight. I say when or if the ufc participates, WAMMA will be legit.

I think it's the right idea, I mean, in the future, If affliction stays on float and becomes some kind of Pride, the wamma belt could be the real world champ, and orgs will still have their champ... for example, UFC will have his HW champ, and Affliction will have his HW champ, they fight in a crosspromotion fight, for the Wamma belt, and the winner becomes the Wamma champ (world champ), that way the UFC avoids some not under the UFC walking away with his belt and affliction the same... But that only IF affliction becomes a real competition for UFC... right now, will be stupid to crosspromte for the UFC...

I like the idea of a worldwide MMA sanctioning body but it's awfully hard to take WAMMA seriously given the climate of MMA right now. They also didn't do themselves any favors by bringing on Bill Goldberg as VP of Public Relations.
