Unfortunately they are very capable of making homemade explosives, and the IRGC has been funneling crap into their armory for years. They still have a stockpile and have gotten into using UAV drones too.
Ironically the ex-Al Qaeda boss of Syria is anti-Iran and managed to cut the flow of weapons from Iran to Hez, or appears to have. It's why every rathole IDF finds in Lebanon or airstrikes into secondary detonation gets Israel one step closer to crushing them.
