WEC 53 card according to wikipedia:
* Lightweight Championship bout: Ben Henderson (c) vs. Anthony Pettis
* Bantamweight Championship bout: Dominick Cruz (c) vs. Scott Jorgensen
Preliminary Card
* Lightweight bout: Danny Castillo vs. Will Kerr
* Bantamweight bout: Chris Cariaso vs. Renan Barão
The following fights have been reported as finalized by sources, but have yet to be officially announced at wec.tv.
* Lightweight bout: Bart Palaszewski vs. Kamal Shalorus
* Lightweight bout: Danny Downes vs. Zhang Tie Quan
* Lightweight bout: Donald Cerrone vs. Chris Horodecki
* Lightweight bout: Jamie Varner vs. Shane Roller
* Lightweight bout: Maciej Jewtuszko vs. Ricardo Lamas
7 LW fights and all of the big names at 155 on one card, I don't think that's a coincidence. I'm guessing that both Henderson and Pettis (regardless of who wins) plus all of the undercard winners at WEC 53 will get a shot in the UFC and they'll let everyone else go.

Do you really think the UFC is going to pick up every single WEC LW? Sure Dana said that they're going to take all of the WEC's guys, but he says a lot of things that don't happen. Remember when Alves vs. Fitch was supposed to be a #1 contender's match?
If we use the previous merger as an example, I only remember Brock Larson, Danillo Villefort, and Corlos Condit getting a shot when from the WW division and I can't remember anyone other than Sonnen and Stann from the MW and LHW divisions.

1. Wiki can be legit and very helpful most of the time.
2. Unlikely. Not all the welterweights went to the UFC. A lot of them vanished. The same will probably happen to some of the WEC Lightweights if they don't put on good performances.

Yeah thats true on the WW but all the LWs in the WEC he listed are all good prospects for the division and not bringin all of those particular fighters would be foolish i think.
and ok ill clarify
Never post wiki as your FIRST source..it can be reliable sure....but its def not the first thing to trust

I definitely think this is somewhat of a win and you're in type card. I think especially for guys like Horodecki, Castillo, Roller, and Llamas. They are all right there on the cusp of mainstays/quasi contenders. But, a loss for them, and I could see them not getting in. Too bad that Castillo and Roller are fighting each other, the loser probably wont make it in.

I beg to differ. I can attest that overwhelmingly that college students use wiki as their first source almost all the time, they simply don't state it as such because there are too many people who have negative stereotypes and ideas of wiki that are completely off base. Wiki is far more reliable than any major news source I have seen and read. This is where you go to get the basic info, which takes you to many other ideas. http://www.groundreport.com/Media_and_Tech/Is-WIkipedia-a-Reliable-Source/2925153
