Check out this post fight interview where Wes Sims isn’t blaming the sunglasses he wore into the cage on Saturday’s TKO loss to Bobby Lashley. Instead he’s blaming Strikeforce for letting a “Juiced up Monkey” compete without a drug test and the referee for playing favorites.
Still I gotta admit it's a little disturbing that they didn't drug test Lashley. Has Lashley been tested since going into MMA?

i thought the most interesting thing about that was the thing about sunglasses and the jersey shore...weird...
in all seriousness, thats completely f---ed up that they didn't test. the florida state athletic commission continues to fail. This s--- can't be happening.

Said Bobby was gouging him in the throat three times thats why he rolled over.
Called Lashley "juiced up monkey."
Says that SF fixed the fight.
Says that Bobby doesn't have the "look" to be a pro wrestler and that other pro wrestles don't like Bobby.
Says that Bobby doesn't like getting hit and all he can do is shoot in.

“The referee had to warn him three times. He kept on gauging me in the throat and when I rolled over and gave him my back, I took one shot and the ref stops it, I’m not a rookie,” said Sims. “I have been in the business a long time. I have a hell of a high pain threshold and it’s bogus.”
He also claims that they didn't test Lashley for roids and believes this is why the fight was fixed.

I don't think you can fix a fight when a fighter has been brought in specifically to lose, as was the case.

Says the guy who just got his *** kicked. The ref did warn him, yes. But after that Bobby stopped holding him by the throat. When he rolled to his back, he stopped covering up and looked like he went limp for a second. I'm sure that's what the ref saw, since they are trained to look for a fighter to go limp.
He just comes off like a sore loser to me. And seriously, who complains that guys don't stand up and trade anymore besides Jamie Varner. He sounds like kids playing Undisputed online.

Wouldn't that be somewhat fixing a fight? Sure anything may happen but when someone is set up to lose it is practicly a fix even if not in a legal sense.

There's a fine line, for sure.

Do you think that UFC was fight fixing when they signed Tito to fight Machida? Cause I'm pretty sure they made that fight to send Tito away with a loss.

I wouldn't compare a former LHW champion in Tito Ortiz to Wes Sims. It isn't a true fix but may as well be as far as educated fans are concerned.

I'm not comparing them to each other. I'm saying, if you think that them bringing in an opponent for someone to get a win over is fight fixing, then you should think that's what the UFC did. Because they made the Tito/Machida fight to send Tito out of the UFC with a loss.

I can't believe he got away with calling Lashley a monkey.
Unfortunately for Sims, plenty of people saw the fight, and plenty of people saw him get mollywhopped.

Did they also pay Simms to come in completely out of shape?

I would say yes, he took the fight on a weeks notice. So they paid him to take it with only a weeks worth of training. So ya you could they paid him to come in completely out of shape.

Despite that Sims is correct and was angry right after the fight about it. Lashley had his hand around Sim's throat as he was ground and pounding him. The ref did warn Lashley but it took quite a few warnings for Lashley to remove his hand.
Nonetheless, this is simply excuse making from Sims who looked pathetic against a guy who has very little MMA experience.
And I'm with you on the Monkey name calling - that's pretty outlandish, even for Sims.
