What are you playing?

Decided to get the Resident Evil 0 Remaster and start from the beginning.

I actually started the series with RE2 back in the day, skipping 1 and never playing 0. I never played the two Revelations games either, but there are remasters/remakes of all 4 now, making the graphics somewhat bearable. Not sure how much fun it will be to revisit tank control player movement.... I'm gonna play through RE3, wait for Veronica remake, then continue through 9.

Guess that means I'll have to finally play 6 as well...😒
And they're remaking Dino Crisis.

I forgot how brutal my gaming upbringing was. I haven't played a game where every bit of progress I've made could be wiped away in an instant due to carelessness in a very long time. It's infuriating...yet refreshing. I'll do a full restart on the morrow.
The best is when it happens because you didn't want to use a potion/ampule/energy booster/etc.

RE0 is really trying my patience....

The partner & inventory system seems to be geared to maximize annoyance and backtracking. I would love to hear the words spoken by folks as they made the decisions designing this shit.

Another RE1 puzzle that I figured out a few seconds too late. I just closed the game out immediately because I don't even want to see how long it's been since I've saved.

RE0 & RE1 have taken years off my life. Death by 1000 doors.

Just a bit into RE2 Remake. Love the updated graphics and mechanics, but it autosaves on normal difficulty every time you enter a new area and removes ink ribbons. As annoying as strategic saving was in 0 and 1, I find myself missing it....

It's funny, in RE0 I was also making all kinds of inventory mistakes and trying to kill so many enemies that it fucked me over constantly. In RE1, I ended the game with a ridiculous amount of ammo leftover. 😂
I became an expert at dodging zombie attacks.

Hey Tito, who is that guy on MMA Fighting who goes by the name Teeto Ortease? He doesn't seem to have your same mannerisms. Also, ThunderCougarFalconBird is Chad Cherry.

I still "snoop around" over there on occasion. I even have my mrducks screen name again but never sign on. I forgot what email address is associated with it, and now you have to sign-in with your email address.

I honestly have no idea who that is, lol.

Dawnwalker seems legit so far. Some tech issues on ps5 that probably aren't an issue on PC, but the story and combat are very nice. The "time" system they've implemented has people divided, but it's honestly kinda cool. Had I done a quest earlier, someone would've survived, but I got a better reward since they didn't. I'm cool with that.
