AS post ucf112 fight comments - translation?
http://mmajunkie.com/news/18668/watch-todays-ufc-112-post-fight-press-conference-on-mmajunkie-com.mma
Are there any Portuguese speaking Junkies here that are willing to translate AS's comments (especially the long ones where his manager replies by paraphrasing?)
It would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Doesnt surprise me. Did you see Ed sorres at the post fight conference? Man he looked sick, Anderson on the other hand looked like a cocky s--- that thinks his s--- dont stink. I lost some respect for Silva with the fight, He lost me as a fan forever simply with his smug facial expressions at the post fight conference.

I swear AS keeps making a liar out of me, but no more. I keep telling my buddies and even my girl on Saturday (who I am trying to get on board so I can watch MMA whenever I want/need) that you got to watch this guy fight, this guy can destroy anyone inside of two minutes and I find myself talking about his destruction of Franklin to get them excited for the fight and then he goes and stinks up the place in a chamionship fight once again. I swear she turned to me halfway through the Maia fight and said, What the hell is this? what's wrong with this guy? What is he doing? I'll be damned if I ever pay for PPV with AS on the card. He needs to take his facial expressions and shove it. He sits there saying Maia disrespcted him before he fight and all I can find on the Internet is that he said something like "AS, he is a man, he can be beat...I will take him and submit him. if I get an arm or a neck he is in trouble". He thinks this is being disrespectful?? Ok, so maybe he disrespected you, why don't you beat him into oblivion so you can teach the next guy to not talk "smack". Serenity now!

this is what AS really said...
Q: Can you explain youre actions tonight again and where we are in the same situation we where before and do you think the ppl who paid 1000 dollars got their money worth it?
A.S.: What do you think? You think not? Unhappily Im not here to like everyone, Im here to make my jab, and my jab was well made, I got here respecting everyone and I fight respecting everyone (im not sure about the fighting part, because I cant hear it well, but I think he said LUTO), and Damian disrespected me, not like a professional, but like an martial arts athlete, and I take that very very seriously, I didn’t get here (don’t understand what he said), and he came to make his job, and came to make mine, and did what I trained to do, to hit (could be taken as “to beat up damian too”) NOT EVER A.S. SAID HE WANTED TO PUNISHED DAMIAN FOR WHAT HE DID…
Question: What did he do to disrespect you ?
A.S.: Look, we are here to promote the event, we have to promote our event, is an event that is the best of the world without any doubt, we have the best fighters of the world, but everything has to be made with a lot of care, mainly when it comes to Brazilians against Brazilians, because from where we come, I don’t know what school damian comes, but from the school where I came from I learned to respect all my adversaries, and I didn’t, like I said, didn’t get here disrespecting anyone, every time an adversary that has to fight with me disrespects me my moral as a martial arts black belt this is going to happen (here is where I got nuts, WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN? RUN AROUND FOR 3 ROUNDS LIKE A LITTLE GIRL???? ) unhappily, some ppl liked it, some not, but he paid for the silly-ridiculous-non sense he said, (again, how did you made him paid? Did he brutally knocked him out???)
Q: Anderson, when you said you wanted to punish damian, are you referring that you could’ve finished him but you didn’t? and as a follow up, if you couldn’t finish him, why not?
A.S.: In reality, my objective wasn’t to hurt anyone, im not here to hurt Damian or anyone, my objective is to go out there and do my job well done, to fight, to make my opponent feel totally vulnerable to my strikes and to everything I trained for, is what I always do, and what I will continue to do, training the same way, I think we have fights that a KO will happen and fights where a KO wont happen, and I simply, did what I had to do, I showed what I came for and why im here for… (again ed soares makes sht up, not he ever said he wanted his goal was to finish the fight, nor he ever said he wanted to come to the fight to make a point)
looks like all he care is to go in there, make his job, and get out... funny, cause he was pretty mad at damian, and looks like he thinks he made Damian paid for it... well, funny way to make someone pay...

Thanks dude. I made a thread in the "off topic" to find someone willing to translate the interview, thinking I could get swayed to want to pay to see him fight again if I knew what he actually said, but no dice.

i always wondered what he REALLY said. I knew soares never says exactly what AS said. I can't believe more reporters don't call him out for this.

Thanks for the post Rage, if the translation is even close (I'm sure it is) to what AS said then I gotta say the he has issues. You'd think the best fighter on the planet wouldn't need 'respect' to validate himself. But I can see it from a guy like that, my sister married a brazilian guy, he was abusive too.

bjj_rage put up a post in the main thread provinding his translations (for three questions) - http://forums.mmajunkie.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=24441 - but I would still like to get a second opinion.
Thanks Copper.
Oh yeah, congrats on getting TWO of your entries posted on the Sunday-Junkie.

Re: AS post ucf112 fight comments - translation?
First question (I'm doing no paraphrasing):
Q - Can you explain your actions tonight ...
A (after the reported replied that he didn't get his money's worth) - Well then. Unfortunately I'm not here to please everyone. I'm here to do my job. My job is was well done. I arrived here respecting everyone and I fight respecting everyone. And Demian lacked respect for me. Not as a professional, but as a martial-arts athlete, and I take this very seriously. I take this very, very seriously. I didn't come here for no reason. He came to do his job and I came to do mine. And I did what I trained to do - hit Demian.

Re: AS post ucf112 fight comments - translation?
Second question:
Q - What did he do to disrespect you?
A - It's like this... We are here to promote the event. We have to promote our event. It's an event that's the best in the world. Without a doubt we have the best fighters in the world. But everything must be done with a lot of care. Especially Brazilians vs. Brazilians. Where we come from - I don't know what school he comes from - but at the school I come from, I learned to respect all my opponents. And as I said, I didn't arrive here disrespecting anyone. Anytime any opponent that's lined up to fight me disrespects me, and my status as a martial-arts black belt, this will happen. Unfortunately some people liked it and others did not but he paid for the stupid things he said.

Re: AS post ucf112 fight comments - translation?
Third question:
Q - Did you notice a point where the crowd changed from laughing to maybe getting a little agitated?
A - (after Dana said it wasn't a comedy show) I think it's not that sort of thing. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, sometimes we please the crowd, sometimes we don't. Regarding a fight against an athlete like Demian who's a very dangerous on the ground, as are other jiu-jitsu athletes I've fought, who are also very dangerous on the ground, a lot of caution is necessary. After Minotauro, also in the UFC, his has the most dangerous jiu-jitsu. I put in action my game, my rhythm; I did my game. I think a fight is a fight, at particular moments during a fight he was better, at other particular moments I was better, I was able to impose my strategy, and the end result was what you saw.
