Ive been trying to work out exactly what it is that I look for in a fighter or their personality? or what others think? 3 fighters spring to mind that I love who are: Fedor, Shogun and Sakuraba. 3 humble and entertaining fighters that show class in respect of their opponents. I think well maybe it's that, yet some other fighters that I love are: Paul Daley, Nick Diaz and Michael Bisping, who can be disrespectful and arrogant arseholes(even though I like their style of fighting).
Jon Jones and Jake Shields are polar opposites to each other. Bones is an entertaining and talented fighter that has a terrible personality and really bad attributes. Jake Shields is a good fighter but is one of the most boring and non entertaining of fighters around. He's a good dude though. I love Jones fighting and hate him as a person. I hate Shields fighting but like him as a person.
Something that interested me was from a quote from Thedoop: "I for one, like JBJ...Skilled fighter...that's the only category that counts in my books". I have no problem with Doop, but his favourite fighters are Nick Diaz and Jon Jones and it's pretty obvious that he likes their fighting ONLY, because "the only category that counts in my books" comment means that he decides to ignore their personalities. It's his opinion of course, but if I don't like a fighters personality and say it then other people shouldn't be jumping on me for not liking him.
I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much into it, but what do you think that you look for in a fighter?

I like to watch fighters that either master their style and can produce exciting fights and finishes (Machida) or guys that are constantly growing and showing new stuff. A guy like the Korean Zombie used to just brawl but in recent fights has shown some really technical and exciting BJJ. I never used to like Gustaffson much but his last couple of fights, he's shown a lot of growth, even taking down Jon Jones and Manuwa. He's growing on me. Guys that always go for finishes, even when they are up late in fights.
Personality usually doesn't matter too much unless the guy is a big douche. Then I would still like watching them fight but secretly hope they lose (Jones). I have more issues with phonies rather than arrogance.

Soulful eyes, a sense of humour and being a good dancer....
That's what I look for in a fighter.

I dont care if a fighter has a brash personality, as long as he backs it up in the cage. "Killer Instinct" is key, I dont respect fighters who are up on the scorecards and just coast (Point Fighters). Some of the most exciting fighters have "No Fear", and are more than willing to go out on their Shield, I respect that. Leave it all in the Cage!!!

lol, i love how people think they know who the fighters really are just based on the images they display in public. for all we know, fedor might be a child molester and shogun drinks goat c-- at home in his private life. just another way of looking for idols to worship and villains to vilify.

Guys who fight entertaining and don't ruin it by saying stupid stuff (Carlos Condit is a prime example)

I check their teeth first, then assess the shininess of the coat. Thirdly I take a good hard look at the glutes. And of course I always investigate the reputation of their previous owner.

Did some one living in a country that still has ties to Europe talk about peoples teeth?

You can't. Very fickle creatures, goats. First off its hard to agree on one, but when you do, you have to take it out to dinner and ply it with grasshoppers and spinach salad. If you're really lucky, it might let you give it a hand job.
