How in the hell can you even make a comparison? One is a legitimate sport, the other is a s--- brained idea.

Sauna comp is basically cooking yourself.

Its same to be in that sauna than to keep your hand over a kettle of boiling water, the steam that comes from the kettle is same than to be in the WM sauna.. those guys were there for 6 minutes..

I did a little reading, and evidently after other "competitions" competitors have had pancake sized pus blisters. And sustaining serious burns is common.
To me this is similar to eating contests, but considerably more dangerous, and not quite as much of a crowd pleaser.

Not too sure, the crowd in the video seemed pretty impressed.
