Just curious what people would think of her and if there would be near as much talk about her if she was really ugly. Just seems like every second thread someone has to bring up her looks. Be honest, would you still be as excited to see her if she was fug? Would she still be "the face of woman's mma"?

Hahaha, no, not a chance.
Combat sports are still largely a male domain. Yeah people respect her as a fighter, but that only comes after people pay attention to her because of how hot she is.
It might not be idea, but it's definitely how it is.

I would not even be remotely interested in women's mma if it weren't for the chance that Gina might one day strip naked and makeout with her opponent.

Iono, maybe its just me, but I don't think Gina is all that and a bag of fat free chips. She's iight, but there is defintely better looking women in the world then her. I watch her fights because they are entertaining, not because of how she looks.
Cyborg, for instance does not look altogether great, a bit mannish, but I would love to see her make burger of Carano's face.

I only agree 50% with this statement. Carano definately floats my boat.
But Santos isn't exactly a piece of eye candy, and I loved the one fight of hers I got to see, and look forward to seeing her fight again.
If Carano was putting on crappy fights, I'd have no interest in watching a hot chick fight poorly.

I really don't understand the fascination with Gina's looks.
She is attractive, but I really don't think she's as hot as people make her out to be. Honestly, she has a kind of mannish face...
I'm not saying she's ugly and not saying that anyone who is into her needs to check themselves. I just don't think that she's what some MMA fans make her out to be looks wise.

People who say Gina is hot aren't looking at it from the context of comparing her to every other hot woman in the world. She's def. one of the only and the hottest chick in MMA along with Karate Hottie. People aren't saying she's the hottest in the world, but I don't think she's manly just cuz she is kinda muscular. She's an mma fighter so how would she be completely feminine. She is def. hot, but not the hottest.

i think cyborg is just as terrifying as those other girls (and i pray she never reads that ;p) but i am still very interested in watching her fight. Now it would be hard to see any woman being the face of mma and looking like those two girls, and honestly, even though its mostly men that watch mma, i would see it difficult to promote a man that looked anything like them too.
