Would he have been a former champion at this point in his career? Current champion?
How different do you think he resume would look right now, if he fought at 205' from 2007 to now?

But Rumble was not the same fighter in every way. He wasn't really with a camp too. Part time at AKA I think. So he wouldn't have had much success. If a fighter feels their best chance at winning fights is to fight guys two to three weight classes below your walk around weight, it's cause you're not that confident and need a competitive edge. Rumble himself talked about how long it took for him to mature.

He would have maybe matured a bit faster but not soon enough to be able to become champ before Jones. He would have fought Jones thats about it IMO, and we dont really know how that turns out but he had to go through all that failure for him to get his act together.

Also consider that he would've been taking damage from Light Heavyweights and who knows how thar would've effected his durability. What if he ran into Evans as a prospect and got KTFO and never was the same. Cause Rumble is at a high level now doesn't mean he was always at a high level.

Bader would've taken him down and ko him via gnp
Lil Nog would've used his olympic caliber boxing and ko him
Mr. Wonderful would've wrestled him to decision

I don't think much would be different. Being bigger wouldn't have changed his ability all that much, and it's his improved ability that has him where he is now.

He probably wouldn't have been champ but he would've been in the mix. He definitely needed to mature and that was the biggest thing. Maybe he would've earlier and developEd earlier but I really do think he would've done better. The guys just aren't as skill developed at those weights. Imagine Rumble vs Forrest. Griffin would not have been able to take him down and would've taken lots of brain damage. Machida I could see in his prime beating Rumble before he developed into a complete fighter but he was a killer back in the day just had no energy from weight cuts. He probably would've gotten frustrated and gassed out but realistically think he would've had a decent chance until Jones. Jones would've Koscheck'd Rumble but elbowed and choked him unconscious

Well if he hadn't had the issues and stayed at 170 he would have been in the mix. Besides the rnc to Clementi. His loss to burns was bs and he avenged that loss and he did get wrestle f### by Kos but not before Kos pulled the fake head shot on a downed opponent. His stand up was always good maybe not as devastating but his only problem was the high caliber wrestlers. (still is) He just needs Lawler like tdd to become champ regardless of what weight he is at. This is what would have stopped him before and could stop him now.

And we're going at this hypothetical question when he's made the improvements after he finally moved up, after he's been mentored by Evans and after he's been under the tutelage of striking coach Hooft. He's had success after learning from his failures.

Better off waiting but he should have never been at 170, 185 at the least, I think we missed out on some potentially great fights during his early years wasted at 170.

I'd say he would have still suffered some tough defeats. He's 31 now but still has a lot more to learn, atleast he showed some improvement from how DC controlled him on the ground to now stomping Bader trying the same approach.
