someone brought his up in the ufc 117 press conference article.
LeftCoastLegend on Jul 30, 2010 at 3:07 pm ET
"The Ultimate Fighting Championship is primed to take over Northern California".
"Ive been saying it ever since they announced 117...the bay area is hotbed for MMA,
with the amount of Jui Juitsu & Muy Thai training centers in the area and not to mentionthe laundry list of fighters who where born and raised in, or now train in the Bay Area it was only a matter of time before Dana and the UFC realized they werent capitalizing on a money maker..
Some say they this will be a one and done...and they may never come back to Oakland after this...In my humble opinion I actually think this is the start of a long and beautiful marriage and think we'll c the UFCaround here a lot more often after 117....
and not to mention that Strikeforce HQ is located in San Jose, so not only does Dana and Co. sign former Strikeforce Middleweight Champ Jake Shields but now they start to move in on SF's turf...
Wonder if the UFC would ever have enough balls to take a card to the HP pavilion in San Jose, that might start someserious BEEF...It would be like Strikeforce doing a show at the Palms in Vegas..."
i think it would be extremely interesting if they did a show at the HP.

Dana would sleep with Scott's wife before that happens.

Ah, didn't know that. Surely there's another similar building the UFC could rent?

I lived in San Jose...the same group that owns the Sharks owns Strikeforce and the Pavilion....there is not another building like that in San Jose, just Spartan Stadium which is an outdoor facility or unless they would bring it to Stanford, but not sure if its big enough to hold a UFC event, maybe a Fight night.
the fact that they doing an event in Oakland is a step...Im surprise they didnt do it at the Cow Palace in San Francisco.
Sacramento is WEC turf...so I guess they already got somethings going in Norcal

So are San Joseans (sp?) truly loyal to SF?
