Despite the huge loss in PPV buys, it should pay off. Anyone watching his highlight reels would tune in. Fill the rest of the card with exciting fights just in case.
To make up for the loss in PPV revenue to Anderson i think Dana would have to pa him way too much money. I think guys like him and Georges have to fight on PPV to get all the money to fight
However, I would love to see him fight for free....Although there would be a Burger king commercial ever 5 seconds
A huge part of what got me into MMA was the near constant episodes of UFC Unleashed on Spike. If they could get that going on FX or Fox even at a shitty timeslot, I think that will draw fans.

With of course joe rogans voice doing the P4P BEST FIGHTER etc etc
I mean, they've already put him on a UFN on Spike against Irvin. He was already champ for a couple of years by then, so they made it work that time. Don't see why it wouldn't work this time.
I think this could possibly be the best idea for him. Match him up with Weidman and they can shock the audience seeing an "underdog" win a fight in brutal fashion. It will sell the UFC as anything can happen and when it does, its violent.

They dont have an Affliction to counter program
I was talking more from the money aspect of it. They were saying he might not get the big payday since there wouldn't be any PPV cut.
I just meant, they put him on free TV before, when there was no PPV cut to give, and made it work.

Key word being 'UFC'..........
I dunno about Anderson on fox but here he is on a bear
As a fan I think it would be sweet. He already holds the record for most wins, title defenses, longest streak, ect...It would be great to see him smash all of the records for viewers as well.

Yeah, that's the thing, BK and other advertisers would shell out more money knowing that Anderson is on the card. If Fox wanted Anderson, I'm sure they would have to toss a few more bucks the UFC's way that would trickle down to Anderson.
Anderson on free TV would shatter the ratings record for MMA.

That was a non-title fight outside his weight class after he had beaten everybody with a name or a good win streak in the MW div. Back in the day that people thought Dollaway and Credeur would make a name for them selves, Velasquez was a nobody, and people were still hopeful Vera might live up to his hype.
