Everyone complained about a HW knockout in a free title fight teaser.
So what kind of fights/finishes will make the MMA community with first real FOX and FX events?
Both Guillard and Barry are locks for some sort of craziness, but are we putting to much pressure on Barry? How much more epic can his fights get than the Struve ending and the Kongo fight?
Bang vs. Neer on paper is designed to be a war, but lot's of times that doesn't happen. And is that really what we want? I'm desensitized to some of these potential wars, i like when i'm not expecting and a war and one happens.
Plus we have another bigger card coming up. Can they both live up to expectation?
So what will make FOX/FX, you and the all fans happy?

Fighters trying to win (finish) is all it takes to make me happy so that means no lay and pray i still can't get over people complaining about the JDS vs Cain fight it was a good fight while it lasted no matter how short it was both guys came in with the intention of finishing the fight. The fights are also set up in that the fighters skill level might be similar but what there good at is not e.g. Bang, Barry,Melvin good stand up fighters while Miller, Neer, Morecroft are more grapplers (with solid stand up) this can in a way be good becuase when you have to fighters with similar skills and skill level they can cancel each other and we won't see that happend imo ethier Bang, Barry, Melvin gonna get subbed or gnp or lay and prayed or they gonna deliver on the feet.
Skilled fighters trying to finish fights = win win

It was the submissions that got me into MMA. I didn't think you could be on your back and win, and I was shocked when I first saw a triangle.
I think a spectacular finish that you can't see in boxing is what the UFC should hope for. A barboza-esque KO with a kick or a slick submission would be more likely to hook a casual viewer imo. That's how I was hooked.

I should've voted "Nothing. We're MMA fans and we're never happy," but I went with "just a normal fight card with no bad judging, reffing or controversy."

I don't need anything spectacular to happen.
It's free MMA with world class athletes... as long as everything is consistant I'll be happy.
By consistant I mean officials/judges doing their job and matchmakers booking compelling fights instead of one sided affairs.
If everything is consistant than I know that there are going to be some slugfests and KOs/SUBs to be had. I don't need every fight to end in exciting fashion in order to make me happy.

"Nothing, we're MMA fans and we're never happy"
Get a fight to a decision, they call it boring. Get a finish, too short. It is the internet, the general breeding ground for discontent and unhappiness.

Come on now, I was one of those complainers, and that's not what everyone was complaining about. Everyone expected and received the knockout, no suprise or disappointment there. It as the other 55 minutes of filler that people were disgruntled about, and what we felt was the missed opportunity. I'm not looking to re-open the debate on whether or not the TV show delivered, but let's not suggest that the complaints were because of an exciting knockout, everyone saw that coming, one way or the other.

They just need to put fighters that are prone to being exciting. I guarantee you if you put Nick Diaz, Carlos Condit or Nate Diaz on a card you won't get a boring fight.

Nothing would make us a happy. if i had to see one of the options it would be the slugfest, Simply because it would be more entertainnment but you can never guarantee two fighters can take punches for 15 straight minutes
A 3 round slugfest would have people complaining it wasn't MMA, it was a boxing match, a quick knockout or submission win is quickly labeled as a mis-match where one of the fighters didn't belong.

The Ultimate Fighter Finale was my definition of what I hope to see.
First fight was a good solid back and forth 3 rounder, then a crazy a** one round of momentum swings with a fulfilling finish, then a main event where you can feel the electricity and energy from the arena and at minimum a decent fight showcasing some title shot worthy MMA.
I don't know how I feel about a 3 fight card. 4 seems perfect. Can't drag on, and there's not usually 4 quick finishes in a row. I don't know what the UFCs planning for FOX or Fuel cards for filler. Now that we have access to all the prelims(which is frickin' so awesome), kind of changes showing the best undercard fight to kill time.
I can't sit still for prelims and main card very often, it's just too long. but Bellator has trained me on the 4 fight cards, lets see what the UFC does with the 3 fight cards. UFC on FOX 2 feels perfect with those 3 fights.

Wars have been replaced with the epic 5 minutes of all over the place, both fighters landing big shots before crumpling from big shots.... and done in under one.
Having Hendo/Rua and Chandler/Alvarez happen at the exact same time kind of stepped it up for wars. What's better than a FOTY war? 2 FOTY wars. that's hard to top.

Im with you. Names don't bother me too much, as long as hte fights are good.
That said, they should have some star power for the Fox cards at least. FX and Fuel will probably have all mid-level talent (which still produces amazing fights).

I would like too see a good mix of everything to show to the masses what MMA really is. We need a few quick knockouts, some all out wars. But we need fights that can still be exciting at a slower pace. Fights that mix up all of the different aspects of what an mma fight is.
What we don't need is stalling and bad officiating.
