What line of business is (perceived) to be more dishonest?

There was a time when lawyers (sorry Dre) and car salesman stood alone atop the douchebag mountain and pounded their chests with glee. But a new breed of crook seems to have infiltrated our mainstream society. Now its names like Bernie Madoff, Bernie Ebbers (MCI Worldcom), Kenneth Lay (Enron), Drew Rosenhaus, the Shaws, the Catholic church :lol: , that seem to make our skin crawl.
So what line of business do you think has the worst perceived bad rap?

I think Jeff Skilling was 4000 times worse then Ken Lay. Ken Lay just didnt give a damn. Skilling was the number con man! I picked car salesmen. Their in the business to over price there vechicle inventory and underprice tradeins. Then refer you to one of there banks they do business with that offeres 23 % int. rate upon borrowing.

I picked car salesman....I think all of them except Clergy.Seriously don't know why thats even on the list. I know there may be a few.But overall It shouldn't be on the list.

I had to go with agents.
I have quite a few friends in the music business and every one of them has nothing but terrible things to say about the dealings with agents/labels.
This is also perception... so I'm not saying that all agents are terrible. I just think the worst agents are worse then the other professions and screw their clients over harder.
Sure, lawyers are greedy scumbags, but the best lawyers are working for their clients.
Car salesmen are trying to rip you off to increase their profit, but you only deal with them once every couple of years then it's done.
The best agents are trying to nickle and dime the talent that produces for them and once they're signed, that talent has to deal with them until their agreement is up.

I had to say car salesman. Most of us have had direct dealings with car salesman and never once as anyone said, "alright, I get to go talk to a car salesman today." In fact it's just the opposite a seemingly happy occasion of buying a new car is always ruined by the realization that "i have to talk to car salesman today." No other profession can take such a great experience and turn it into a negative so quickly.
Agents are crap, but let's be honest, most of us wouldn't know an agent at all if it weren't for Drew Rosenhaus interviews. Very few of us will have direct contact with actual sports/talent agents.
I was a little surprised that fight promoters wasn't an option, after guys like Shaw, Arum, Don King etc.
"Ron, would you rather spend 2 hours of your life talking to a car salesman, or would you rather be drug naked over a cactus with your mouth around the tailpipe of a greyhound bus, or would you rather sandpaper the a--hole of an alligator in a phone booth?"

I happen to be a very good one.By good I mean that I listen to customers wants and help them determine what they actually need ( not always an upsell ) I get them excited about it and I try to make the negotiation as easy as possible. I will very often encourage customers to purchase less than they had desired.
I know what it is like to get a salesman that is an a*s h*le but I also know what its like to be stereotyped as that guy. I did my best to always make experiences memorable for good reasons.I would take pictures with customers or kids that got their first car from mom and dad for birthdays.I would buy Huge ribbons and wrap cars, order food for customers if they would be waiting for finance.
I also did alot of it for people who never deserved to be treated as nice as I treated them. I had my days where I was a jerk ( we all do ) and I do my job with the intent of making enough money to live nice but I think I can safely say that I was not the typical "Car Salesman".
