I'm interested to hear what makes you think he stalls?

In my opinion creating too much space is a bit of a stall tactic. And its someting that all fighter do. Johnson maybe just a little more than others though. But I also think that stalling is a necessary evil in this sport being that we are all human.

I can see how it could be perceived that way. I don't think he does to the extent some of the other fighters do it, and I don't personally see it as a stall tactic. But I can see how some people could see it that way.

I use the word stall loosely. And I guess that's why I kind of asked the question first. Personally, I think it more tactical than stalling per say. However, I don't think that it being tactical, prevents it from still being stalling in some sense. A necessary evil if you ask me. Creating and taking away space is a large part of how this game works. I think Johnson takes so much heat because he does it with his feet, which is fairly new to network MMA. That andI the programmed perception that aI fight onto the feet can be nothing short of a Rocky type performance. But its an effective tactic, one that I think more fighter will work toward being able to incorporate into their tool box.
