2017 is nearly over, but lots of fun has been had.
So far mine has been super fights actually being fun AND WORTH THE $$. Floyd/Conor, GSP/Bisping, Conor's NY stacked card.
And TJ vs Cody. That's the first grudge match in years that was actually as fun in the fight as it was on paper.
Paul Daley knocking out Lorenzo Larkin as well.

Conor hasnt fought in the UFC in 2017...so other than GSP's comeback with a stacked 217 card, 2017 has actually been pretty average as far as UFC fights go to me.
214 had massive potential to be card of the year, but Jones fukced that one up.
If I had to pick my fav mma thing of 2017, it would be Gaethje's comeback KO over Michael Johnson. I was in a room full of guys all talking up MJ and I was the only one who picked Gaethje to win...I loved it.

Yeah.... while that wasn't my big match of the night, it certainly started the 3 championship classics in a row of 217.
Not since he double RNC finishes of 196 have I been so excited at the end of a card in a few years.
Gawd damn that left hand was nice. Especially after Rogan said her only keys to win was to take JJ down.

Heck yeah. 217 was so much fun. I haven't gotten a ton of PPVs lately, but the ones I have have been classics.

-Max Holloway's championship.
-MJ vs. Gaethje brawl of the year.
-214 and 217 and Bellator 178 cards of the year.

-Fedor and Meathead being an absolute joke.
-Bellator wasting another year of their best talent hiding and protecting MVP. Much like Bellator's floundering business plan, Bellator continues to succeed in siphoning names away from the UFC while passing on their own talent development and see little ratings improvement with such purchases.
-I don't care Jones tested positive, he had the KO of the year.
-And the end of 2017 had a trend of young fighters dominating older names. I like the trend of fresh blood, might be a sign of a changing of the guard.

The exploding nose of Heather Hardy was pretty fantastic.
The big LW fights have delivered this year (Henderson/Pitbull, Gaethje/Johsnon, Lee/Ferguson, Primus/Chandler, Piorer/Alvarez, Thomson/Pitbull, Poirer/Pettis, Lee/Chiesa, Dariush/Barboza).
flyweight has also been good this year

Gsp return and taking out Bisping like I predicted even though bisping kept saying he was too small, did peds and that it would be a big pay easy win situation.
TJ winning the belt back like I said he would made it even more sweet that Cody acted like a douche on tuf.
Gall typical bandwagon jumpers acting like he was something special then quietly disappearing, like that thread about him and him going quiet on Twitter.
