But I think Tito can make a run at the LH title if he comes hard and dedicates himself for one more run. Especially now that he successfully had surgery.

That honestly is the joke of the year. The elite 205ers have passed Tito by, you cant ignore training and getting better as much as he has and just walk in there and win.
He looked good against Forrest in Round 1 of their fight at UFC 59, and hasnt since. Literally not since with the exception of Shamrock which shouldnt even count really.
He doesnt care enough about being a elite fighter anymore to be a factor at 205. Not only that, but as you can see with Hughes and Liddell now too, you need to improve at other areas, or else you'll be getting passed by.
Fighters are too good now.

+1..
well +1/2 - I agree, Tito could not walk into the UFC right now and compete with the guys at the top. They are too good and have evolved sinced Tito was in his prime. That being said I don't see it impossible for Tito to get back to training, dedicate himself the way he used to, and also evolve the way his peers have.
Will it happen? Doubtfully. But it isn't like he is a bad fighter. He is, after all, a professional athlete and may still have his best years to come. Randy did it.

You make valid points there.
However, Tito doesnt have the striking or the will to learn striking the way Randy has got good at dirty boxing and just flat out gameplanning.
Tito had strength, condtioning, and wrestling or GNP.
Not anymore, he has condtioning, but he just doesnt have the wrestling and GNP, even if he did, the best 205 would just sprawl keep it standing and pick him apart, ala Lyoto Machida.

Pfft you guys are savage! Arguably he has done a lot more for MMA in its earlier days then most fighters. I think the Dana could be a little bit more grateful for Tito being the UFC's poster boy and drawing many fans to the UFC. Like him or not he did hold a belt for six fights, so a little respect is in order.
I see Tito fighting in either Strikeforce or Affliction, I am hoping Affliction.

you are correct Tito
was
a pioneer..... but its that time in the MMA cycle where the likes of Royce, Kimo, Sakura, Tank and Goodridge are already done and the likes of Hughes, Wand(god i hate admitting this), Shogun, Tito, Ken, Chuck and CroCop are on the downwqard spiral.... I mean damn, didnt Chuck KO Overeem in Pride (Shockwave possibly then lost to Rampage before the Wand fight), and now Overeem is LHW champ of Strikeforce, granted it is not the same Org that it was 3 mos ago, has it has vastlky improved. Not to mention the fact that CC wont fight him and didnt he demolish Badr Hari in aK1 rules fight back on NYE for Dynamite (FEG) in Japan. Look at the new breed of fighters... guys like Maia, Rashad, Rampage already a champ in UFC, was he in Pride ?? What about the Dan Hardy's, Nate Diaz, the new Marquardt, Dos Santos, Carwin and Cain... thats just Zuffa, what about Aoki, Satoshi, and Akiyama(ok he is Zuffa now, and a lil controversial.

I put other because I really don't know where Tito's going to go, but i hope he keeps fighting that's for sure. He's finally had the back surgery he needed and i think now he's gone be able to do some of the damage that he used to do. If he comes back to the UFC i can see him getting in the top 10 again and maybe even winning the title if he can get his game together. But yall may call me crazy for this but who i wanna see him fight at LHW is Anderson Silva. At first i wanted to see Silva v. Couture but with the idea of Tito coming back i wanna see him fight Silva so bad. Idk if Tito can win because Silva's stand up is sick but i kno if he can get him down and keep him down then Tito will beat that ***.
TITO VS. SILVA LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

I'm not a massive Tito fan but you have to give kudos where it is due
He was the 1st BIG star of UFC and although he played upto the press I think the UFC benefitted from this
I can't believe the mans fall from grace in the fans eyes although I dont think the Shamrock fights helped him very much or his fall out with Chuck & Dana
Chuck tore him a new *** in his book.
His stint on the ultimate fighter changed my view of him, I thought he was a great coach who cared for his fighters
He is not over the hill by any means although he would have to get back upto big bear for a huge stint to get back his fitness but does he have the desire he had when he was younger now he has twins & a lady that I would not leave alone for long periods
i say good luck to him in whatever he does

tito who? tito jackson? i remember a big mouth mma fighter from a really long time ago by the name of tito but i doubt that's who we're talking about here because he's not relevant in the game anymore and after such a lengthy lay-off he'll surely super-suck by now. even worse than before.

How is Tito over the hill or washed up when he beat Forrest Griffin who beat Shogun Rua and Rampage Jackson. He took Rashad to the limit and would of beat him had he not held onto the cage.He was no matter who you think was machida's toughest challenge and that arm bar triangle combo was the worst trouble machida was ever in his career.
but he is over the hill right LOL
