LHW Division has the most depth of any division by far.
Rampage Jackson
Jon Bones Jones
Shogun
Machida

Bader
Thiago Silva
Rashad Evans
LW Division is pretty stacked too.
Pettis
Ben Henderson
Edgar
Maynard
George Sotiropoulous

Lightweight without a doubt. LHW and WW are pretty stacked too but neither have the overall depth of LW.

You can say all you want about all the divisions but
LHW has always been the main attraction.
Since Chuck Liddell, and Tito, and people just flock to those fighters. I dont know what it is but its true. Even the bad ones people love to watch that weight class. Forrest Griffin, Stephan Bonnar, people love watching them fight. Rich Franklin, Asilva fought there a couple times. Randy Couture, and Vitor made the UFC huge in that division, I could say anything about the current best division but historically, the bigger names and crowds have always been lhw, even thou I enjoy 170 the most.

I think what it is is that people like to see the "big guys bang" and LHW guys are large but at the same time athletic and have great conditioning for the most part.
HWs tend to get tired faster and if the fight goes to the later rounds, the pace usually slows significantly.
And as you mentioned, a lot of the UFCs biggest stars happen to be in that division.

lightweight might have more depth than lightheavyweight but it cant compare with the prestige of being lightheavyweight champ. The reason this is so is because the list of LHW contenders is full of future HOFers and the list of LW contenders is not.

205ers are a perfect mix of size and speed imo

LW has the most depth, LHW has the biggest names. I always get more excited for LHW title fights but the LW division is the most exciting overall at the moment.

LW easily nothing else is close.
LHW doesnt have 3 fighters in title contention.
LHW isnt deep after the top 8 guys

IMO LHW. Shogun,Rampage,Machida,Rashad,And Thiago. Any combo of matchups is explosive and could be a war!
LW is exciting and full of super fast athletic guys but there lack of size and power just doesn't draw me in the way the 205ers do.
WW is 3rd IMO. With gsp dominating everyone there just isn't that potential of an up and comer grabbing that belt.
HW is a close 4th. Lack of depth is a serious concern. I like Roy Nelson but to see him so close to title talks is silly to me. Carwin,JDS,Brock, and of course Cain are as good as it gets to me.
Sorry to only use UFC examples but with the exception of strikeforces HW dev. I don't know enough about their org. To truly comment.

Heavyweight because it has the least number of athelets that go for decision. Also the number one guy in that can beat any human being on earth. LHW is pretty fun to watch, don't know why people are voting LW, there is a bunch of LnP specialists and decision goers there.

There are some reasons for the few decisions at hw:
1st -> Heavier hands, bigger knockout power.
2nd -> Heavier bodies tend to gas out faster, and when one fighter gas out, he will get KO'd/tko'd/sub.
3nd -> Worst division in ufc, gap between fighters, so there are rare equally skilled matches that may go to a decision.
And i lol'ed @ LW being a bunch of LnP specialists, maybe you're just a troll, dunno.
When you see a HW fighter do a Pettis kick in the 5th round of championship bout you come back to say that.

LHW is the most depth by far but you mention more lw guys? And you didn't even mention the guys outside the UFC.

Has to be the LHW division. No question. No arguing. Big Names. Great Fighters. Noone can even defend the belt once in that division. :|
The smaller division will take over though. Just like in Boxing.

i believe lw is the best, but it could lose some depth over time with the ufc adding the fw divsion. small guys in the lw will drop, like edgar if he loses agianst gray or clay guida if he cant win a title. its unforuntatethat the ufc is missing some key fighters in the division like alveraz, melendez, aoki and gz calavante/josh tomson
