I'm not sure that the Chris Cariaso/Mighty Mouse 2 example is a good one.

happened. There were no injuries and a fighter who was ranked #11 in a division that only had 10 fighters somehow got a title shot.
Honestly, by that logic, it should be Jan Blachowitz vs Daniel Cormier.

The Zingano fight happened too, the point of this silly thread is someone off a one-sided loss getting the next shot. Cariaso just got beat up by Cejudo or 3 rounds, more one sided than Moraga or Makovsky.
