Simple question really. I was sitting here thinking about which weight class has the best BJJ guys in it and how do we even go about figuring that out?

Palharris and if Shields is there too, geez. I was thinking the MW division had the best but there are good BJJ guys in other divisions so I thought I would create this

Tough to call. All of the divisions have guys who excel in BJJ. MW has some slick guys (Maia and Jacare), HW has a couple guys (GG, Mir, Nog).
But, I am going MW has having the deepest BJJ talent.

I'd say the styles tend to differ a lot based on weight class. But for sheer success in pure BJJ competition, I'd say MW takes it. I didn't do the math though so who knows. All divisions have some pretty high level guys.

Lw is real good but you aren't too good at making lists if you are really throwing in Cody and Roller as top bjj guys in the division.

Im not using them to say Lightweight has the best but when someone says LW has the worst BJJ guys then yeah Ill mention Cody Mckennize who has 10 of 11 wins by submission. And I would classify Shane as more of a submission wrestler than BJJ but I dont really want to deny his submission wins either.

Hard to say, and depends on what you mean. In pure BJJ, Roger Gracie is probably the best practitioner in the world right now, and Vinny Malgajkdhsfdhsfds is amazing too. Then you've got guys like Werdum, Maia, Jacare, Monson, Palhares, Lister, and other just flat out brilliant BJJ guys. In terms of MMA, you've got guys like Aoki, GSot, Mir, Nogueira, Barnett, Shields, Penn, and many many others that can hop on subs and make guys tap quick.
Edit: So based on the question, either LHW for pure BJJ, and MW for MMA.

After Penn you really started struggling. Bendo? Pettis? Cerrone? All good fighters, but none have exceptionally good jiu jitsu.
In terms of top level jiu jitsu, there are not many 155ers with that.

I think the order he put it in didnt help but a lot of these guys are very good at BJJ. Cerrone and Pettis should be towards the bottom of this list if you are doing it in order of who has the best. Bendo has very solid BJJ and im pretty sure he has done very well in tourney's in the past. But if you keep looking at guys like dos Anjos, Lauzon, and Miller are all very solid

There is a difference between listing every fighter in the division that knows BJJ and just the top knotch of ever division.
