They killed a white guy!
A man shot and killed by Los Angeles police on Friday night in Hollywood regularly dressed up as the villain from the horror movie series Scream in order to pose with tourists in return for money, according to people who claim they knew him.
LAPD have yet to release the man’s name but they have described him as a young, white adult male.
Two bicycle officers shot and killed the man just before 7 p.m. on Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue after someone called 911 to report a man with knife.

The difference would be if "scream guy" had a giant butcher knife and was threatening people with it. If he was unarmed, I'd guess there would be some level of outrage.

One of my professors was the Chief of Police in Oakland and Daly City. He told my class that there's a running joke with all Northern California cops. Whenever there's new case laws on the books every year, all the Nor Cal cops go, "looks like LAPD did something again."

Police are gun crazy in USA. Must be something to do with their training or maybe its the type of people they recruit.

I coached middle school basketball girls. We won a game vs. another team and one of my new players was saying "good game homie" to the opposing team as we shook hands after the game. The other coach, a full grown man in his 30's called her, a 13yr old girl, a "stupid brat". He is now a cop and I am scared.

Stereotypes exist for a reason. Usually it is something derogatory about a culture but many times they do come from a grain of truth. In the US you are more likely to be killed by a cop than most other countries with a comparable standard of living. I tried finding the article with the stats that I read recently......it didn't get into the causes of it however. The socio economic situation in the US is rather unique and has to play a role.
It did also say you're something like 30 times more likely to be killed by a cop in the US than a terrorist worldwide
