Who here trains?

I suppose it happens somewhere, but I've literally never even heard of people breaking plastic blocks for silly TMA demonstrations.
They use plastic boards that are rebreakable.

Saw it all the time when my kid was 5 and took taekwondo. Clearly where this schlub draws his experience.

I tried it once and I could break it easily with a solid two finger poke.

I looked them up because I was curious and they were not a thing when I was a kid. I have a very hard time believing they can design rebreakable plastic boards that can duplicate the strength of hard wood.

They can't.

They're just cope for scrubs, like this fake ass poser, who like to pretend they can fight.

Real McDojo shit.

  • : Plastic rebreakable boards offer a uniform resistance, whereas wood boards vary wildly based on moisture, grain patterns, and knots.
  • Resistance Profile: High-level plastic boards (such as heavy-duty black variants) can match or exceed the resistance of a standard 1-inch pine wood board, but lower-tier or well-used plastic boards snap apart much more"

In related news, I'm signing my daughter up for her first martial arts class. Based on schedules and the limited variety up here, looks like it will be Tang Soo Do. Username will be so happy.
Never a bad starting point!

And hey, he needs something to make him happy. Ole HitsLikeABitch is over here going "Butbutbut plastic has uniform resistance!!! And some are even tougher than wood!"

Sounds just like every weeaboo nerd who tries to say aikido works in real world situations.

Also notice how it cites "heavy duty" black variants, but his "world championship" video they were using white boards? Hmmmmmmm. Almost like they can't do the real thing.

They get increasingly thicker and of you miss it you break your leg on the equipment. It's a good test of accuracy and power combined.

6:00 built like a unit but fails

The international Taekwondo Federation (ITF) is the original one. They arent putting up some Mcdojo contest. Those are tough breaks to make for sure. Especially mentally.

For what it's worth. They had a bodybuilder holding a two or three piece board that I broke with a reverse punch and it flew out of his hands, Besides breaking of course.

So I had lots of margins there to spare.
