I think it was less mercy and more of a calculated approach by Adesanya. He's shown a very high fight IQ and doesn't over-extend himself.
I'd say retirement too if it weren't for the fact that you never want to see a legend go out with a loss. I'd like them to feed him a winnable fight and let him leave on a high note.
I voted for LHW, why not throw him in there against Rockhold at LHW. Anderson wont have to cut as much and who knows he might look better up there. If he loses he bows out and if he wins who knows .

I thought Anderson looked great against Adesanya. He was competitive and was still 'in it' the whole time. i'm not sending him off to the glue factory just yet. Give him Luke Rockhold.
