I think him vs Story would make the most sense there both kinda brawl n stall type fighters the way they exchanges would go would be very very exciting.
I believe Rumble would probably knock him out if they stayed standing but I see this as a fight I wanted to see before when it was previously scheduled.
Is he ready to fight?
Story vs Rumble! Reschedule it.
Also.... They are both around the top 10, and right aroundthe cusp. I think it would only be fitting to fight someone around your ranking and not way way above it. Someone like Condit he doesnt deserve.

Either Howard or Condit !!!

That would be a step down for Condit
He should get Story

Rumble actually is the only fighter i have listed that is coming off a win so i disagree Rumble would be a good opponent for Condit whilst he waits for his shot at the title.

what does coming off a win have to do with anything? Condit just beat a guy that was undefeated. If GSP wasnt booked for a fight, Condit would be the #1 contender right now. Johnson is atleast 3 fights away from a title shot so that is def a step down. Rick Story and Koscheck are the only 2 that reall would make sense since they are both ranked fairly high. Koscheck coming off a fight with GSP would be the most likely for Condit.
Johnson hasnt done anything to deserve a fight with Condit just yet. Johnson needs to fight guys in the 10-20 range, Condit is a fringe top 5 WW right now

Thiago Alves based off marketability.

It'd be more marketable if Thiago wasnt comin off a loss in 3 out of his last 4 fights compared to AJ who's won 3 of his last 4. Otherwise, I'd love for this fight to happen. Thiago should fight someone like Kampmann
I think Thiago Alves would be a great fight, don't really understand the people who think people who lose should only fight guys who just lost aswell, or guys who won should only get other winners. imo it's like a ladder, if you win you should get to challenge someone higher, if you lose someone should get to challenge you from below, obviously it's not perfectly like that but thats the way ic it.

You dont HAVE to do that but sometimes its much easier. For example, Condit is on a 4 fight win streak so it would be better to give him another fighter on a win streak which could be a #1 contender fight instead of giving him a guy thats up on the ladder but just lost. Its better to put to guys up against each other who are in the same position

Il agree to this, but if there isnt much options above you and you lost 1 then won 1 its not really a big deal for you to fight someone a couple notches below. Im not sure if story is ranked above or below rumble, but hes close and if you dont think hes not worth it... prove it.
Johnson should fight a nobody. Or a very undersized WW, those work out pretty good for him.
One fight in the last few years should trump any "potential" the guy has.
I'm still mesmerized that most WW's have to put a string of 5-6 straight wins together before getting the slightest recognition, but Johnson, without a good performance in a very long time can still be higher than most WWs.

Didnt he just dominate Dan Hardy? He looked good against Koscheck until Kos faked getting kneed in the head and poking Johnson in the eye a few times. He also has been to 1 decision in his 6 UFC wins. He has 3 losses and only one is a bad one to Rich Clementi. Other two are to Koscheck and from an injury. I dont know what you mean by him getting recognition undeserving. People just say he has potential the same way they thought Jones had potential. He actually was on a 3 fight win streak heading into the Kos fight so its not like he got 1 win then they threw him in there with Koscheck. The guy is physically and athletically a beast and looks like a smaller version of Jon Jones(physically and athletically I mean). Its always going to be those types of guys or guys getting KOs that get the early recognition. It takes a guy like Rick Story so many wins to get recognition because his style was more brawling and less skill. Story also went to 4 decision out of his 6 UFC wins. It usually goes that way for guys that go to a decision to start off their UFC career. Hell Fitch went to 4 decisions out of his first 8 UFC wins before he got a title shot. Thats just the way it happens sometimes. And to be honest there are atleast 10 UFC fighters ahead of him. He is somewhere between 10-15 in the WW division, he just has potential really.
Kinda just went on a rant, im bored
Kampmann v Johnson sounds decent enough for me., I find Johnson pretty boring to watch though. I'd hate to see Alves get stifled yet again by another wrestler.

Probably the McDonalds diet he does while hes not training. To drop close to 50 lbs a fight is not healthy of the human body.
Ive been bumpin Claude Patrick a Ton, so I would like to see that fight.
Rumble Vs Patrick in a little Black on Black Crime

if your near the top I agree that usually you will need to take a few fights below you before going back up again once you lost, was just saying in general I don't like seeing 2 guys who lost fight each other because then someone will have lost 2 in a row, example is Carwin and Nelson alot want to see them fight because they both lost 2 in a row. but that would give someone 3 loses in a row and really hasn't affected there spots in the grand scheme of things as Carwin is at the bottom of the top HW's and Nelson at the top of the Middle tier HW's and they've both been there for there last 2 fights. they need to give 2-3 guys in the mid-low tier an opportunity to move up. In terms of where Story and Rumble are on said ladder, I would have Story above Rumble since a win over Alves > win over Hardy imo. Rumble is just outside the top 10 imo and Story just in so that would be a good fight aswell, as would Alves since they would both be above Rumble on the ladder and coming off loses. ethier of those fights would be great.
