Greg hardy is a world class athlete. Like top 5%.
If he was not such a shitty human being this would be a much bigger deal.

I didn't actually see the CM Punk fight. Was it that bad? I assumed he had to have shown something after training for a few years. no?

Doesn't Hardy outweigh him by close to 100 lbs?
Punk showed absolutely NOTHING in his fight other than he knows how to get destroyed by an amateur fighter. It looked as if he had not trained a day, let alone 2 years.

Did not see the fight either.

That's crazy. How do you not get somewhat decent in a few years of training?

It was possibly the worst MMA performance I've ever seen. James Toney was 100x more impressive than him. He did absolutely nothing. Not a single strike. He got taken down and completely dominated.

It went exactly how it should have. It was too big of a level for someone to start their career. He charged Micky and left himself open for a takedown. He was put on his back and couldnt get back up. He didnt turtle away and hide. He tried to fight but didnt have the skill/ability to get off his back and got punished.
Punk is a former multi time world champion in both Ring of Honor and WWE.
Plus, I've been watching him long enough to know how he is wired, and he's wired to beat Hardy.

I'm only here to have fun!
I pulled an entire flock of bushtits(about 60) out of my last round of mist netting for the season, like 20 junco's a downey woodpecker, a creeper(which are like wrens to pull out) a ruby crowned kinglet and a golden crowned kinglet. and a sh*t load of sparrows.
and I lost a barred owl!
The winner here would be the fans.ufc or bellator should create a celebrity fighter categorie and if said celebs are good enough give a little taste of the real deal.

Since they DID let Punk fight... there's really no reason not to open the flood gates for celebrity cross over.

It really did look no different than if he was just some guy who went to an MMA gym as a hobby here and there. It's worth watching just to see the disparity even with two years of intensive training.

You're getting closer. Highly doubt Hardy is ever making 205. Think HWs. Herschel needs to fight Ken Shamrock anyway, the numbers would be huge

he was recoving from back surgery for a good portion of those 2 years, not that it would've changed anything, he's still showing up at the gym, and wants to fight again, so I give em some credit for that, although I doubt it's in the UFC, he's gonna have to get some experience, and actually win some fights before ever gracing the octagon again. He still has a lot of work to do without a doubt, but if you saw day one of his training compared to the guy who fought Mickey, they're night and day. He's got a glimmer of hope, and a small one at that, but I like that he's sounding like he won't quit regardless of what the "fans" think
