Cain is a monster truck that keeps coming forward to f--- s--- up no matter how much damage he takes...
Jones is a Corvette that loves style, and considers every scratch to be a good reason to go to the body shop.
In case that analogy fell flat, I'm going with Cain

Could be a competitive fight. There're not that far off in weight come fight time.
I wouldn't be surprised if Jones competes with his wrestling, but I have to go with Cain by catching him with a big shot in the standup. Also, Jones would not be able to keep up the same pace in a five round fight(saying that, who can?).

Maybe I'm crazy, actually no maybe about it, but I think Jones might do better vs Cain than JDS if he does decide to try out the HW division before calling it quits. The whole style makes fights thing

Took the words right out of my mouth. Stylistically JDS is a nightmare for Jones, and I think he would put him down quick. Cain however, I think would still beat Jones but I could see it being more competitive.

i like jon jones but cain has more tools to win this matchup. cain has amazing chin and conditioning and goes after you constantly. jones relies heavily on distance on the feet, something that cain will not give him with the constant pressure. cain is a better mma wrestler than jones in terms of mixing his strikes and takedowns better. what jones has going for him are the elbows against cain. those short standing elbows that jones is so adept at throwing can be cain's undoing in the clinch, as they can quickly mess up cain's face. no one has demonstrated successful clinch fighting against cain before, but i think jones wrestling experience will buy him some time to inflict some damage in the clinch with the knees and elbows.

If Jones beats Glover, then defeats Gustafsson in a rematch, then beats DC, and then moves up to heavyweight and beats Cain...He would have to be considered the greatest fighter of all time.

Complete mauling by Cain Velazquez... Seriously, Jones is not fast enough to keep Cain at range and doesn't hit hard enough to deter him from coming forward constantly. this results in Cain getting inside pushing Jones to the fence and doing work there, I think he would be able to drag Jones down and would eventually get the TKO.

I agree for the most part. It's gonna be really tough for jones to beat cain. maybe with the right strategy and execution. his best bet is just to work on knees and elbows in the clinch. i don't think he can take cain down to deliver elbows on the ground, so his best strategy is to deliver those short standing elbows like he did against rashad. who knows if he lands enough elbows cain's face can be a mess and change the complexion of the fight. if cain gets jones down, it's all over though. no matter how complete a mma fighter, jones thinks he is, I don't think he will threatening off his back.

Cain would run right through him. The only chance he has IMO is catching Cain with a sub while Cain is diving in at him cause he doesn't possess enough power to hurt him with strikes. And what's jones gonna do if or I should say when he gets put on his back? Cain will smash him through the octagon
