Why not make Bj Vs. Florian at UFC 100?

He has more than pull. He must have Dana by the nuts if he can choose when its most suitable for him to fight. And if you start putting a fighters wants in front of what the company wants/needs then your in trouble.

and certainly you are much more educated than the Fertitta's and Dana White on the matter of business and mma.
it seems pretty basic logic to me that keeping your champions (Or employees in ANY business) happy is whats best for your company.
You need to keep your champions signed to your brand, you need to keep them talking good about you, and you need to keep them fighting.
Keeping BJ happy (for now) is whats best for the UFC,
and the fans will get the fight soon enough, UFC 100 has plenty going on anyway.
Not to mention that it isn't more than pull because its bad for the company(if it were).

I personally don't believer ufc 100 has enough going on to make it the "mega card" its being hyped up to be. But if the reason he's not fighting is because he has a new baby girl then thats different, if so i'm sorry i didn't do my research before making this.

Thank you, adding another title fight to UFC 100 will make the 2 or 3 events after it without any championship fights. UFC 100 is fine the way it is, PPV fans are happy and any fan going to the event personally is very lucky cuz every fight in UFC 100 is very good.
Because Joe Silva, Dana White, and everybody else at the UFC knows that everyone is going to buy the UFC 100 card, and it's going to sell out tickets in probably less than an hour after it opens them, because of the existing fights on the card. You kids complain about cards like 96 to no end, but then expect the UFC to put 5 title fights up on cards every now and then? One title fight per night keeps us entertained every time.
Its about opprotunity cost boys...
They sold the card out in less then 30 hours and before the public sale.
If they added BJ vs Florian how many more PPV buys would they have gotten?
My guess is less then 50k additional then they will already have since most will already buy the card and if they are not then Florian vs BJ would not put them over the top to buy it.
BJ receives PPV percentage as part of his current contract.
Even at 1 dollar per ppv buy that would be $1 x 1 million buys (I am trying to keep it on the low end of estimates) = 1 million dollars plus Florian's salary and BJ's base. So all in all the fight would cost you 1.2 million or so (although I know at 1 million buys BJ's ppv is higher then this)
UFC is getting roughly $22.50 per PPV buy (I believe its actually $20 but I am keeping it the best case scenario for advocating the fight). GSP and Brock also get PPV percentage and again even at 1 dollar per ppv buy that means the UFC is only clearing 19.50 per additional buy by adding BJ vs Florian.
50k extra busy at 19.50 = 975,000 at a cost of 1.2 million.
Therefore it would actually cost the UFC money to put this fight on and this is not even looking at the negative effect it would have on taking it off UFC 101.
Also assuming that GSP, Lesner, and BJ are getting 2 dollars per ppv buy over 1 million it figures like this....
16.50 x 50,000 = 825,000 for a bout costing you 1.7 to 2.2 million. Who in their right mind would do that?
