Will we actually see a unification bout, or will Bisping keep ducking in search of a GSP fight? Depending on how serious Whittaker's knee problem is, I can see Bisping using that as his out to avoid a proper title defense for as long as possible.

I believe it will happen Bisping was clapping and looked pretty happy once whittaker was crowned interim champ
I think even after everything Rob has achieved Bisping is still underestimating him and probably feals he has dodged the romero bullet
Bisping will Bisping at the end of the day I understand the romero trash talk and disrespect and I get it that it's his style to get in the face of his next opponent and start the mind games
But I think the ufc dropped the ball letting him interrupt whittakers post fight interview let the man have his moment answer the questions and thank his people and fans then bring in mike

One argument in favour of this fight happening: Bisping wants big-money fights, so the idea of facing Whittaker in a sold-out soccer stadium in Australia is probably appealing.

Football stadium mate get it right
But yeah UFC 193 is still the largest ever attended event for the company so I am sure they would be happy to try that again although that card was headlining with Rousey.

I believe it will happen. Whilst Bisping has been sat out waiting for the money fights, the division has moved along and finally named the number 1 contender to his title

It will happen as long as everyone stays healthy. I could see a backup fight happening before but only for an injury.

Bisping trolling yesterday pretty much confirmed this fight is next.

I think Bisping feels he'd rather fight an honest clean fighter.

To imply Bisping has ever ducked an opponent is el retardo firstly, and this fight will definitely happen as long as all parties are deemed fit to compete

I think Bisping is subconsciously retired. There's a part of him that wants to leave while still on top. At age 38, and facing a bunch of young and talented guys in that division, it doesn't get any easier.

Bisping got his face butchered by a 45 year old Hendo.....a guy that's 20 years younger is going to make him look ridiculous. Bobby Knuckles eats him and shits him out for breakfast.

He no doubt ducked Romero. He has ducked anyone in the top 5 since he got lucky and won the belt. He was totally healthy to fight GSP but as soon as that fight didn't happen, he had to have knee surgery.
Don't be ridiculous....hes ducking harder than Yao Ming at Frodo Baggins' house.

Other than the Rockhold KO the guy hasn't done anything impressive in years...and that fight was gifted to him. I think he is going to milk this as long as he can.

He already had knee surgery. The rehab was the problem and you can spout the happyhorseshit to someone else cause say what you will about lefthook Larry but one thing you can't say is he ain't a fighter who'll fight anyone put in front of em. Of course he wanted the "money" fight. He knows his book is about done so why wouldn't he? Bisping is a f---in warrior win or lose

What alternate reality do you live in? He wasn't "injured" until AFTER the GSP fight was cancelled/post-poned......when he was told he had to fight Romero by Dana White all of a sudden he has a bum knee.

*Fail
UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping is holding out hope that he’ll still face Georges St-Pierre in his next fight, but even if that matchup is taken away from him it appears he won’t be returning to the Octagon any time soon.
Bisping responded to UFC president Dana White’s recent comments where he said he was cancelling the matchup with St-Pierre after the former welterweight champion revealed that he wouldn’t be ready to fight until after November.
In St-Pierre’s place, White stated that No. 1 ranked middleweight contender Yoel Romero would get the next shot at Bisping with the date happening much earlier in the year.
Now according to Bisping, the delay to the fight with St-Pierre worked out better for him anyways because he’s dealing with a lingering knee injury that would prevent him from competing in the near future regardless of the opponent.
“I will say this and I’ve said it before, it’s a blessing in disguise cause I can’t fight any time soon,” Bisping said on his “Believe You Me” podcast. “I can’t exercise at all at the moment. I can’t train. My knee is giving me many, many problems. It was doing it in Thailand, it’s still getting no better. I haven’t trained since I’ve been in London cause I’ve been busy most days. I’ve flirted with some weights in the hotel gym, which is not very good shall we say. I haven’t trained and it just isn’t getting better. The back of my knee is incredibly tight. I can’t actually straighten my left leg. I think that’s because all the tendons and ligaments and muscles are super tight and that’s why I can’t straighten it. My surgeon said we had to work on stretching that but it just kind of got extenuated if you will and it’s super tight. I can’t even walk for like five minutes so I need to get back and start getting some treatment on that.
“So long story short what I’m getting at is that I’m not going to be ready to fight any time soon anyways. So that’s another reason why this played out into the perfect scenario for me.”

All this Bisping butthurt. Don't forget this is the Middleweight champ you're talking about. Either bow down and kiss the ring or GTFO with that weak s---.
