I'm specifically talking about the main card here. I have a hunch that this will be one of the worst main cards we have seen in awhile. Heavyweight fights are always a gamble, and if its not a quick finish, its typically a fight in which both fighters are gassed huffing and puffing for air. Anyone else see it going down this way?

Its possible
A lot of fights see two reactions. if heavyweights don't kill each in a spectacular KO they wind faster than an asthmatic running a marathon

I doubt it. I don't think Velasquez, Dos Santos, or Struve have ever been in a boring fight, and I just can't see Del Rosario/Miocic putting on a bad performance. If anything, maybe the Nelson fight will drag out to a decision, but with both of their UFC careers possibly on the line...I just don't see it happening.

If Mir can break something on Dos Santos it'll be a great card

I think it will go down as one of the best cards of the year, the heavyweights on this card are in shape and stylistically the match-ups favor finishes. The only really boring heavyweight fight I can recall this year was Russow/Einemo.

Should be a great card.
Sturve's always in fun fights to watch, plus Johnson brings it.
I don't know about Shane Del Rosario and Stipe Miocic but have a look at their record, should be a great fight !
Since in the UFC, I don't remember Roy being in a boring fight.
Cain Velasquez pushes the pace and is the HW Guida, with a better skillset.
JDS is always looking for the finish on the feet, Mir is always active on the ground. Wherever the fight is going, it's going to be awesome.
No, I don't think it'll turn out to be boring, but there's always a possibility, that's for sure !

I hope so,but It could definatly happen. It's happened before with a supposed great card, some of the time, not all of the time..
We've seen more supposed s--- cards that end up been entertaining fights..

I'm a Mir fan and I hope he wins but I think JDS will easily win the standup. Especially after seeing Nog wobble Mir so easily with some solid straight punches.

With 5 HW fights I just can't see the possibility of it being boring, Struve/Johnson and Mir/JDS should both end in the first round by sub/ko Nelson and Herman always bring it, Cain and Big foot could be grinding but i just cant see myself being disappointed, plus its the best under-card i can ever recall

I'm never a big fan of even having HW fights back to back on a card, as they really slow the action down a lot. So I'm worried that the card will turn in to a gasfest.

It could, but I doubt it.
Stefan Struve vs. Lavar Johnson - Someone is getting knocked out or submitted. LIKELY scenario is Struve gets knocked out in epic fashion.
Stipe Miocic vs. Shane Del Rosario - Come on. There's zero chance this fight won't be exciting. So what if Stipe takes SDR down, dude has a damn fine guard.
Roy Nelson vs. Dave Herman - This fight is the most likely dud on the card, and I won't be surprised to see Nelson work his ground game to guarantee the win.
Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio Silva - Velasquez KO first round. Basic echo of the Cormier fight.
Junior dos Santos vs. Frank Mir - Who doesn't enjoy seeing Mir get his head knocked clean off his shoulders?

JDS is always exciting, the main fight will be awesome. The HW division produces the highest Percentage of ko's so we should see a couple. Miocic and del Rosario should be fantastic, and nelson and Cain are always in exciting fights. I really dont think this will be boring at all.

Hopefully we see a first round knockout from Dos Santos. I lost alot of excitement for the card when Overeem was gone.
