So my money would be on Thiago Alves, ive never seen anybody so effectively punch and kick at the same time as him
Second choise would be Fitch.
BJ Penn and Diego Sanchez arent big/powerful enough to be in the list imho

Hmmm...that would certainly be one interesting way of setting up Penn vs. GSP III.
Penn fights a few more guys at LW before moving up to WW. Fights a half decent guy just to show he can hang at WW (Swick, P. Thiago, someone like that), wins the WW title off of one of Fitch/Alves/Koscheck and successfully defends it against at least one of the others, possibly both.
GSP comes back from the Olympics and finds himself as the challenger to BJ to get his WW title back.

I think it comes down to Penn and Alves. We'll get the answer to who is better today Fitch or Alves but after that it's tough to say how Penn would do against either one of those guys. I would probably favor Penn since he is so incredibly skilled but a guy like Alves could deal out some serious damage. Has anyone with great TDD like Alves attacked Penn with leg kicks like Alves has? Hard to say what would happen.

Id like to see Fitch and Penn fight for the title.. GSP always says that Fitch was his toughest competitor and he hasn't lost to anyone in the UFC other than GSP. Hes beaten guys like Alves, Sanchez, and Thiago - Impressive.
