Josh Burkman
(27-10)
The man is getting paid. WSOF is no joke. Burkman's window is closing I expect to see some of his best fights left. Either putting guys away with experience or passing the torch to the new breed. I see wars with his career on the line, can you say barn burners.
Ill be here live, must watch TV. Free on NBC

If WSOF could do 10-12 cards a year with a relatively stacked main card, they'd be very good for the sport. I don't think the amateur fight league is a good idea, or the other WSOF-Canada/WSOF-Japan off shoots. I have no problem with them putting some amateur fighters on the undercard or local pro's on the undercard you pay $500/500. If you are a legit MMA prospect, there isn't much sense in doing more than 1-2 smoker fights and 1-2 ammy fights before going pro.
There were rumors about fighters being asked to take pay cuts for fights, that wouldn't be good for the sport.

By all accounts, a number of guys were indeed offered less money. It was explained as some cards only having room to certain price fights so if a fighter wants to be on that card, he would have to fight for that amount of money.
WSOF has a lot of potential, but they need to focus on running shows, improving production and building the brand. WSOF Canada, Amateur fights and whatnot simply takes the focus off of the regular cards.
