Two fights scraped the day before the fights, and three total... This is not looking good for Bellator, looking more like second rate, then second best...
Injury's I see, but two fights the day before the fight? WTF is that? And not even saying what the problem is?
Also this totally fucks my FF picks...
I wonder how this happened. 2 guys were deemed ineligible to fight the day before. Most have not passed the prefight medicals, I'm curious as to why for both guys.

From what I'm getting out of the situation, it seems like the tribal commission is the ones causing the problems by not allowing Warren and Spang to fight. Which is strange, since Mohegan has hosted tons of events and (from what I can remember) has never really presented a problem

Im really confused why Bellator has chosen to go the casino route instead of the athletic commission one. Maybe someone who better understands the politics of AC's better than I could explain it?

Only conclusion one can come to is that it's to avoid strenuous drug testing. Ben Askren said himself in an interview that he's never been tested while with Bellator, and there's a very suspicious lack of Bellator fighters testing positive for ANYTHING.

On their defense the UFC has jacked up some cards as well. Hell they canceled a whole night of fighting (UFC 151). Sometimes it just happens. I don't hold it against them.

For sure UFC has had some cards that turned to hell, but not like this. Two fighters pulled because of medical issues the day before the fight. Sure Nate f---ed up once, but he lost his job over it, and it was disclosed why he got pulled. I still haven't seen anything about why they can't fight.
Now if it comes out the fighters were holding back an injury that will be whole different story.

$$$$. Much cheaper to put on events the route that Bellator is going, in fact, it's insanely cheap. But, you have to pay the price. Screwy commissions that really don't have a clue what they're doing.
Bellator has been doing this since its started. Its never been reliable to use as a FF card. Its gotten to the point where you have to add another event with it just so you dont end up with a smoker card. The truth is the fighters dont respect bellator. They know its a gimic organization. So they dont give a s--- if they make weight or pull out the day before or whatever. 100 bucks says they wouldnt do that in the ufc. That mostly happens with prelim fighters. Im sure warren wasnt to happy when he found out he wasnt fighting. Dunno WTF happened with spang not being cleared, but its f---ed up that his opponent planned for 1 guys style and now has to fight another totally different style. And in a tourny match no less.
I haven't seen this many people drop off since the
last
Strikeforce card!!!
In all seriousness, this is weird...two people medically disqualified...smh...
Why are people blaming Bellator for this? Any reason to hate I guess.
It;s the Commission that isn't letting these guys fight. Joe Warren isn't being allowed to fight for medical reasons, I've read that the Commission think he's suffered a concussion in training. I presume Spang is not being allowed to fight for medical reasons also.
If the Commission don't let the fighters fight, there's nothing Bellator can do.

Dana White has said that if the UFC goes to Connecticut they'll probably go to the Mohegan Sun, where they'll be under the same Commission that Bellator are under for this event. Some of the Indian Casino Commissions are pretty bad but the Mohegan Sun is one of the better ones. They're no worse than the Texas State Athletic Commission.
