XFC today announced it would file suit today against WSOF for booking
Kalindra Faria
(15-3-1) against women’s strawweight champion
Jessica Aguilar
(18-4) at Saturday’s WSOF 15.
“XFC has an exclusive contract with Ms. Kalindra Faria, which XFC provided to WSOF,” XFC President Myron Molotky said in a prepared statement sent to MMAjunkie. “Notwithstanding the clear terms of Ms. Faria’s exclusive contract with XFC, WSOF has made it clear it intends to proceed with Ms. Faria’s bout planned for this weekend.
“There is no question that XFC has a valid contract with Ms. Faria and that her fighting in a WSOF match this weekend violates XFC’s rights under that contract. XFC is seeking to enforce its rights to the fullest extent of the law.”
The statement said XFC’s suit is being filed in U.S. District Court in Tampa, Fla., where WSOF 15 is set to take place at USF Sun Dome. Aguilar vs. Faria is part of the event’s NBC Sports Network-televised main card.

We don't know the details, such as what her contract actually says. It is also possible that XFC was looking for some coin. If WSOF was approached weeks ago, they screwed up. If this came about this week, it would appear to be more of a money grab. Why would XFC have waited so long to file? Waiting until 36 hours before the fight seems, on the surface, awfully bush league of them.

It seems pretty amateur for the losing side in this.

So apparently XFC has been showing a picture of KF, with a bout agreement, and saying it was from August, when it was actually from April. Ali is saying that XFC offered to sell her contract, but that her manager insists she is not contracted to XFC.
It seems to me that the dispute is between Faria and XFC.

'Macaco' Patino manages Kalindra in her USA bouts.
But she was previously managed by Diego Lima in her Brazil bouts.
I wonder if some paperwork got lost during the transfer.

Faria made weight, and they are still promoting it, so I don't think it gets pulled.

It reminds me of when Bellator posted some stupid doctor's note for Attila Vegh that showed he would've been healed up and ready to go in early summer, while Bellator booked a stupid King Mo/Newton rematch because Vegh was apparently "injured." Which he wasn't.

I think it was Vegh who posted that he was good to go.
