I believe that means a bot (a program) from Yahoo or MSN is currently viewing the page. They use those to 'index' the internet to make it easier to search.
Or, it's a Transformer. Either way.

I had wondered what these things were as well, I figured that they were indexing programs, but now that you brought of the Transformer theory, I believe that is much more plausible. As long as there are no decepticons, we are good.

No we need the decepticons to keep the balance. We cant have a bunch of good guys hanging around all the time with nothing to do! Bring on the Decepticons!

Yes, of course, more Decepticons. Mayhem in the streets is very entertaining.
On topic: Bots are very hard to program.
Back off topic: Did anyone else think that the body-count of the transformers movie deserved an R rating? I mean, several hundred people died in those downtown city battles. Sure, they didn't show the mangled bodies flying through the air, but jeez, you knew someone was getting crushed every 5 seconds.
Back on topic: Bots are programs from search.....<no carrier>
