In Japan they have the NYE show which was their super bowl of MMA, we can even see in etertainment companies like WWE which they created wrestlemania that took them to the next level
I think now that UFC and Strikeforce are under one umbrella why not Zuffa make a yearly Super Bowl like event and have the best fighters from each org fighting each other once a year.....it would take MMA to another level, and it would get the media attention through the roof and it would help grow the sport of MMA to new heights, if they can get it on Network TV specially instead of PPV I can see it making a 50 million people rating, which would be huge!!

dream didn't do that many shows a year so i see that being extremely difficult for the UFC to do with the already growing amount of shows they put on a year. For a show like that to work they would probably have all their champions fight........which as of now is only twice a year so that would be 50% of their time.
it would be great and something to look forward to but i don't think we'll ever see SF vs UFC championship fights.......even though Zuffa owns SF now i don't think DW will risk any of his UFC champs losing to someone under the SF banner.......will only happen with a merge

The reason I don't like it is that it screws up all the shows around it. Say you put on a stacked card with 3 title fights, now the cards immediately following that will suffer with lack of headliners. I like spreading it out so that each show has high quality.

New Years / Christmas UFC usually acts as the Super Bowl, and they have one where they do in the middle of the summer but 2 title fights is enough with one other huge fight on the card.

Would be tough to get all your favorite fighters on that card. Timing and schedules would be difficult. But I would give up a few months of championship fights to watch an epic event that had all Champs fighting.

I am saying build one event up as the biggest of all!!! just as a name recognition event.........stack it with two title fights and two really intriguing fights from both orgs and make it run!!!!
Super Bowl is like any other game within the 60 minutes but is the build up because is the Super Bowl that gets all the Media attention.........my point is create an event that can give a Super Bowl like atmosphere.......have it an official name so the fans know it, it would be huge imo
